Asked the bartender if their burgers were cooked to order or smash burgers and she said cooked to order. So I Ordered and ordered my burger rare, I got the $14 burger, yes $14 without fries in Marshall not Chicago, and she asked how it was. I told her it was well done and not rare, she said she didn't hear me say I wanted it rare and said we cook our burgers medium to medium well. Why would I ask if you cook to order and then not tell you how I want it cooked? Well, that they don't do, mine was well done. It's probably a decent burger if you get a server that is decent. Won't be back.

The burgers are perfectly cooked and even if you're from out of town, they are super welcoming. The booths are big enough for rounder people and they have dart and pool. Really nice place to stop off the highway!

Amazing Jalapeno Popper Burger! It was juicy and delicious perfectly cooked. Fresh hamburger not a frozen patty. Will go back agian.

We were at Mike's Place today for lunch. there were 9 people in our group. They messed up on one of the orders which was nachos for my young grandchildren. The waitress said they were redoing them because the order wasn't understood. it was nachos with Meat, Cheese and Salsa. Straight forward. When they brought them wrong the cheese and salsa were on the side. all that needed to be done was put meat on chips. Everyone else at our table was finished eating before the chips were brought to the table. My daughter had to ask for a to go box. My grandson, who is autistic, went away crying because he thought he wasn't going to have anything to eat. The waitress was very lax about following thru and making sure that the issue was taken car of. Then had the audacity when she brought our bills to say "if you need anything else just let me know" She probably should have been more worried about following thru with asking during the meal and getting the situation taken care of with the food. We have never had poor service like that there before. Completely unacceptable service
