the waitress lady was too busy on her phone to pick up our food then later the bill. it is overpriced for cheap tasting food and my french toast was burnt. they couldn't make regular pancakes for my 3 year old when all they had to do was take toppings off. The pancakes were more like thicker flavorless crepes. 10/10 do not recommend.

Bird Dog in Mattawan is a fantastic spot with a menu that changes seasonally, and everything I’ve tried has been consistently delicious. Their Sunday + Saturday brunch is a real treat. You absolutely have to try the firecracker cauliflower, which tastes like flavorful wings (even if you’re not usually a veggie fan... like me). The space is cozy and comfortable, with indoor seating and outdoor options during the summer. Service is always fast, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. A wonderful place to enjoy a meal any time of year.

Great place we visited for dinner. We had the Crab Cakes, Delmonico Ribeye, Mac &Cheese and Thai Style Broccolini. Absolutely delicious. Great service. They do not take reservations but we went around 3:30 and was perfect timing. They have limited indoor seating and some outdoor seating as well. Expensive but sooo good.

LOVE!! LOVE!! I cannot say enough good things about this place!! The fact that they get their Fish delivered Fresh every other day says all that you need to know! The Vibe is quaint, the service is Excellent, and the food is Stellar!
If you like rude and stuck up service and atmosphere. This is your place to be! Horrible customer service. Rude server. Food always over cooked. Just a bad atmosphere all around. Don’t bother asking for anything unless you prefer an attitude.

Always an incredible experience!! Even if you don’t think you like cauliflower, you really need to try it — it’s as good as everyone else says. The seasonal mocktail is also always lovely. This was my third time at Bird Dog, and every time, I've sat somewhere different (inside the tiny restaurant, in a plastic igloo on the lawn in the winter, and out on the deck under an umbrella), but the one thing that has remained the same is that everything was delicious and the service was superb.
