Every visit is exceptional. Food, beverages, vibe, service…all wonderful and very consistent. Highly recommend eating at the bar, as the kitchen is fully open and it’s a treat watching to dishes get prepared and plated.

We came for brunch fory birthday today, and ordered the Dutch baby and the Reuben Benedict. Honestly, this is one of the best meals we've ever eaten! We can't wait to come back and try everything else on the menuWheelchair accessibility: I think it might be difficult to manage this in their indoor space, especially during busy times, but they do have igloos right now (January) that might be more accommodating

In the quant little town of Mattawan sits 1 of 2 sister restaurants. Bird dog, it's sister being dog in the bank in Plainwell, MI. Both are amazing. Let's talk bird dog though. I've eaten here at least 10-20 times and have yet to have a bad meal. Amazing flavors in everything. The drinks are top notch and the bourbon selection is decent as well. Service is prompt. It's cozy, a bit tight, but that's the charm of this place. Solid flavorful food in an inviting atmosphere.
