Came here a few times with my nephew and once with my wife and the food was good. My wife and I were trying a few BBQ places in the area for catering an event, wasn't super impressed by anywhere really, and after not going here for over a year just went with Skinny Kenny's. It was a hit! They did an awesome job setting up the food at my event and everyone loved the food. We will be using them again in the future for our catering needs.

If you have not tried out Skinny Kenny's yet, please do! Everything about this place was great! The service was friendly and very helpful. Skinny Kenny himself even stopped by our table to ask how everything was while we were dining in, he was also very friendly. We went on a Saturday and ordered the full rack of rib special with coleslaw. We also ordered the "Really Treat Yo Self" with the Brisket, Pulled Pork, and Pulled Chicken, with Mac and Cheese and Southern Greens for the sides. I also had a scoop of Lemon Cheesecake ice cream which was so so good. The ribs were fall off the bone tender and smothered with the perfect amount of amazing bbq sauce. I even ended up ordering another full rack to take home! The brisket was also a highlight of the meal. So smokey, tender, and full of flavor. Sides were good as well, but our favorite by far was the Southern Greens. They also have a food truck, which is where we initially tried them out, so be on the look out for that!

I look at these reviews and I don't know what happened. 445pm Friday. Tips dry and hard. Pulled pork with coleslaw dry and the bun stale. Mac and cheese had overcooked macaroni from old water and no flavor other than the pasta water. Quesadilla looked alright but I didn't try it. The pictures in the reviews made me check to make sure I was reviewing the correct place ??♂️

I love worship music and they had amazing worship songs playing as I had lunch.This alone says that the young individuals working at 12:30 on Wednesday are the type of crew we need filling our customers service positions all around Mattawan and Kalamazoo.Great food also!
