I ordered a pizza from here and it was absolutely delicious. Beyond that the owner is a super sweet and welcoming lady who brought absolute joy to me and my family when we came In for fuel that I made sure to stop back In and try their food and boy am I glad I did! Excellent staff too!! Overall a 10 star experience!!!

This is a little gem in the middle of nowhere. They literally have everything under one roof - grab and go snacks and drinks, ice cream, coffee drinks, restaurant offerings and more.
We were able to stop in here a couple of times, once to grab a bite to eat and get coffee along with another time to get dessert after a meal and both times were great. We even had the privilege of meeting the owner, who was super nice.
If you are in the area, it is worth the visit!

I was about to lose hope of having a good coffee after i tasted a crap one in Curtis, we stopped here to try and guess what! they have the best coffee in the area, tasty, delicious in a paper cup, not foam, place is so cozy, you feel the spirit of the north inside. we bought food and coffee and blankets and souvenirs. i highly recommend visiting if you are around.

Expired pop and poor customer service:
We stopped by for pizza and began to make our order. Unfortunately we couldn't order tap water so we had to buy a bottled drink to have water with our meal. That goes against standard service for a restaurant but not the end of the world. We decided we would get pop instead since we would have had to buy water anyways. My fiance grabs a Pepsi and finds it's a couple days expired. Ok not great but not the end of the world. But then I grab a 7 up and it's months past the expiration date. But not just the bottle in front. I looked at some of the 7 up bottles behind it and they all had been expired since May. That's off putting especially for a business that serves food. Health and safety should be a top priority and I can imagine that they've probably been selling expired soda for a while now if those are that far past the date.
So we let them know that we're finding expired pop as we're looking for something to drink, and in response they completely ignored us. They skipped over us and visibly were helping other customers when we already had our order partially rung up on the register. After several minutes of that we walked out without ever finishing our order. That's unacceptable customer service. Also finding two different expired beverages when we were just looking for something to drink didn't give us much faith in the health and safety of the restaurant.

This place is great, the people who work there are so friendly and helpful. Our first trip to the UP with our SXS and we made this a stop for pizza and gas. The owners were so nice that we made sure to make another stop there that week to buy some souveniers. We will for sure be back when we venture back UP.
Kid-friendliness: The owners were super friendly and even gave my son some Yooper Lite rocks to start his collection. Such a great thing for my son to learn that there are nice people in this world. He wanted to go back and get the pizza shirt so he could remember where they came from.
