Okay so the food is pretty darn good, the owner was very friendly and helpful with questions. I personally wouldn't order the garlic chicken again which is what my bf had. It just tasted like a plain chicken breast. Other than that all of the other food was pretty great. Just because I'm overly honest, the garlic bread is too dry for my personal liking but obviously it's healthier than putting garlic and butter on it. The portion size is great for what you pay. Had a pastrami sandwich and it was awesome!
As a former Chicagoan who was just visiting the area I was so surprised to see a Puerto Rican restaurant and I was so glad I stopped. The food was amazing!! We asked for input on which chicken dish to choose. The chicken, tostines and everything was so delicious. Next time I’m in the area I’ll definitely stop in again.

De P.R. Rest is a Puerto Rican restaurant. The food is pretty darn good and the owner was very friendly and helpful with questions. The menu is a little confusing, but the owner took the time to show on TV screens what the meals included. The food was amazing, and the chicken, tostines and everything was so delicious. The garlic chicken tasted like a plain chicken breast, and the garlic bread is too dry. The portion size is great for what you pay. The lemonade is bomb, and the fresh squeezed lemonade is highly recommended. The strawberry lemonade is actually made in the store from real strawberries and lemons. The passion fruit is a favorite. Service was a bit lacking, had to ring the bell to get the bill and had to wait awhile to get silverware. The food was not very hot, more like just warm. The people were very helpful in explaining what everything was. Big portions and good prices. Food made fresh and it’s delicious. Good flavor and good portions. Friendly, professional customer service and the interior is very clean. All fresh ingredients and authentic latin food. A lunch special was a queso chicken with pr rice, yucca w green pepper, & garlic bread. The chicken was luke warm almost cold, the rice was dry with no flavor but came hot, and the yucca was almost cold too and cut into huge pieces and not cooked all the way through. The kitchen just had an off day. Don’t forget to take a look at their lunch specials.
