The food was very good, especially the French fries! There was one server and she handled the room like a one person staff. The atmosphere was just as you might think with a name like Blue Gill Grill. Nautical theme.

This place has been around for a lot of years for a reason. The food is good! I hadn't been in for a while. Apparently new owners took charge over a year ago and really elevated the menu. We were nothing but pleased with the quality of food and the overall preparation. The servers were professional and spot on. The photos will give you a good idea and what to expect. Strongly recommend.

We used to come to this restaurant on a regular basis on Friday nights for their fish special. It’s sad that the main part of this restaurant is no longer open for dinner (only being used for events, private parties …). So you only have the front area (bar) to sit in, or the roof top bar. Visited in August 2025. Stifling hot day and no air conditioning in that bar area of the restaurant. Some fans were blowing, but it did nothing for the stifling heat. Service/food was ok. Music was blaring through the speakers attached to the wall. Hard to hear yourself talk. Politely asked if they could turn down the music twice. Don’t think that ever happened. My salad was good, along with the hush puppies, but only 2 of the 4 pieces of fish were cooked properly. I feel bad for the staff that had to work in that heat. I think next time we will choose somewhere else that has air conditioning!
