Blue gill used to be one of our go-to restaurants. Their clam-diggers basket used to be out of this world. They have completely changed for the worse. They are always out of clam strips and have removed them from their baskets. They are out of half the menu items typically and the service is awful. The food we did order was terrible quality for the price and I don’t think we will ever go back, which sucks! The last few experiences we’ve had have been horrible, not sure if they changed management or what, but it sure is a shame watching a restaurant with so much potential go under right in front of your eyes.

Had an enjoyable dinner at Blue Gill. I had the Perch Reuben sandwich and my wife had the Reuben Quesadilla special. We also enjoyed French onion soup and onion rings.Service was very attentive and friendly. We were there March 16th so a lot of customers were dressed in green for St Patrick’s Day. Mixture of young families, college students and older couples in the restaurant all having a fun time.

Me and my wife went in about dinner time to take about 10 or 15 minutes to get a beer then it took 45 minutes for our meal and even that was called very disappointed this time medium black hair that you do not get this guy other than that this place is usually a really good place to eat not sure what happened this is on Wednesday 13th like I said usually dying here was really good

Food is extremely overpriced and extremely underwhelming. Perch basket was full of bones. Street tacos were unseasoned and felt like they were cooked in the microwave. Crab queso was very bland and hardened up after 5 min. This meal and 2 drinks cost $64 plus a $12 tip for the frantic waitress who was definitely overworked. Worst meal I've had in a long time. If you are going for food do yourself a favor and go to the Mayfair next door.

Been here quite a few times. Food is good, even the grandsons like it. Nice staff, friendly bar/restaurant. Can be a bit loud but typical for a bar. Convenient to nearby park and lake. And yes, they have bluegill filets on the menu.Parking: Parking along side and in back.Kid-friendliness: Good kids menu choices. Comfortable setting for the kids.

Bartender was great....friendly, attentive. Great atmosphere, clean...but the food is just not good. We've tried it twice, have ordered different things....dry burger with undercooked fries and this time soft, mushy, undercooked fish sandwich. Such a cool place but the food is severely lacking.
