This spot used to be a go-to with good food and service. Unfortunately my last visit since the new ownership took over has made me stop coming here altogether. Prices have doubled, service has declined, and food took forever to come out despite the restaurant being half empty. When we notified the server that one of the orders wasn’t right, they proceeded to argue with us that our instructions were not clear enough. Very disappointing experience. Will not be back anytime soon.

This was not a personal attack I was giving a honest review on service that you provided. I will be contacting you soon thank you for opportunity to speak with you. Thank you. I have been a HUGE fan of fernandos 's for about 4 years. The food the atmosphere the service was outstanding up until recently when the new owners took over. I have been trying to give them several chances to win me back and I recently went in to give them a personal experience to see if anything had changed Granted the food was delicious this time, which was a great improvement from my last previous experiences. It was a new selection on the menu but unfortunately it was diminished by the service that I and my friend received. This is the second time I have gone into the establishment where the service was poor and unfortunately that really makes me sad since this was a huge staple in the Haslett community for coming in and being able to enjoy the atmosphere. Now I'm not sure why the gentleman that waits in fernandos seems to act like he doesn't like his job, but hopefully in the future they may be able to get a couple people in there that can treat the customers as they should be treated.

Over the last year, I have been coming to Fernando’s pretty frequently. I love their food and they have nice servers with quick service. However, their kitchen has a mildly infuriating issue with quality control. I don’t think I have ever been there without one part of the meal coming out wrong. Usually it is a small mistake, like the wrong type of cheese or potatoes. It’s usually a minor inconvenience, but nothing to make a fuss over… Today, it went from minor to major. In our party of 4, one of the meals was completely wrong. Every single item on the plate was incorrect. Another person received the wrong toast, and I was given the wrong type of cheese (which we were charge a dollar extra for even though the burrito comes with cheese). The server was very kind and apologetic, and immediately went to the kitchen to correct the issue, but there seriously needs to be some sort of quality control. We were one of the only tables in there, so being busy can’t be blamed. We also overheard another table having issues with their order too. I really want to see this place succeed, but PLEASE check the food before you send it out!! It will be a while before I return. Hopefully the issue will be resolved by then.

Fernando’s is a perfect example of a small town cafe. The food is above average The service is usually excellent. The staff go out of their way to fulfill small requests. The atmosphere is 100% small town cafe.
Kid-friendliness: Fernando’s is very kid friendly.
Great food, coffee, and service, though a partisan-themed coffee cup did concern me.

The food is phenomenal and the people in the back of the house are amazing. The cooks and everything. It’s just the one cashier lady. The main lady is so rude and so condescending every time I go in there I dread it because I have to deal with her i stopped physically going here and just getting a pick up order so I didn’t have to deal with her and her attitude. She’s so mean the other guy there is also really mean and really rude. Just has a condescending attitude just rude in general when you go to pick up your food, they both are just mean and just nasty.
Basically zero vegan options.
