Mar '24. Our latest visit to this place. Like most restaurants, food quality & server skill can vary greatly. On this occasion we had lake perch & a burger plate. Everything was very well prepared. Food was served timely. Excellent portions. Brews were reasonably priced for this area. Our young male server was very much on-the-ball. The restrooms were in good shape during a busy evening time period. Recd good value for our $$$. All-in-all a very pleasant experience. Would recommend this place.

I moved to Okemos and needed to find an American Chinese take out, and Lucky House fits the bill. It's exactly what you're expecting, but the portions are definitely on the generous side. Staff are friendly and no issues. I called in my order.

Very expensive, but let me explain.I read some reviews that said it was a good place to get Chinese food. I went to the website and ordered. Man, those prices are high. Spent quite a bit for three meals.I get there, and she hands me my bag. JFC, it weighed 20 pounds, no lie. You get what you pay for, and the food is really good. Highly recommend.

Very good food! I placed an order online order, told when I called it would be 20 minutes from when I ordered so I planned my arrival accordingly. When I got there, they hadn't even started on my order and I had to wait over 10 minutes while they made it. Don't tell people a time frame then it be drastically longer. The silver lining, at least it was hot and fresh when I finally received it.

Their website is easy to use for orders which is nice because this place is busy! I ordered take out tonight and everything was thoughtfully packed. I really appreciate the small touches they make to ensure your meal is top notch. Okemos is lucky to have this restaurant!

The lady and the male person who cooked food for us are super kind. We went after closing time but they were kind enough to prepare the food for us. Thank you so much.?
We went there on a Saturday and said 1/12 wait and then they would close, got a reservation at 6 the next day and waited till to get seated and left. Not a organized place.

If I could give a zero, I would. Lucky House had been my "go to" for Chinese take-out for years until my last visit. I ordered 3 combos to eat over a few days. I had one with egg rolls right after I got home and refrigerated the other 2. I had the General Tso. The chicken was tough so I thought it was a bit over done. About 8 hours later when I was in bed I awoke with chills and violent GI distress out of both ends. This went on for over 4 to 6 hours. I was flat on my back for the next 24. When I finally called the restaurant, they said that I needed to go to the doctor and they didn't believe me. I threw out the rest of the food I had gotten. My advice - order at your own risk! I won't be going back!

Lucky house has delicious fried rice and Buddhist delight. My son loves the sweet n sour chicken. Friendly service.

Always happy with everything here. Definitely a great place for a fairly quick, easy lunch or dinner to bring home. The owners are always friendly and very customer conscious. It has been a pretty regular go-to for us for about 10 years.
I order my Chinese food from Lucky House. The portions are large and the food is generally very tasty.

I watched as the cook dropped a piece of chicken for a chicken teriyaki stick on the floor and still drop it in the grease like nothing happened.... that's just gross. And I really like there food, but I will not return after witnessing that. Disgusting!!
