The food was good. I had cod dinner. Others had salad, Reuben sandwich, and pot roast dinner. Everyone thought their food was good. But the inside of the restaurant is very cool old style lot of wood hand crafted.

We're retired Michiganders, now living in South Carolina and visiting friends in the area for a few days. We were delighted from the moment we walked in the door, finding lots of wood, antique furnishings, and amazing decor. The interior hearkens back to a New England tavern/restaurant and history is literally everywhere you look. The floor is an interesting hand laid surface of tree limbs cut into short pieces and filled in with cement?, urethane?, something similar? Beyond the ambience, the food is exquisite. Our party of four had a varied mix of fish, beef, and a huge Maurice salad that was more than I could finish. The staff is cordial and goes out of their way to make every guest feel welcome. While we regret that we live some 800 miles away from this beautiful establishment, we will certainly return when we travel north in the future.

Love this quaint area . We always try to make it the third weekend in August for the hot air balloon launch. You can see it perfectly from their patio at the White horse inn. Food is always consistent good quality, and service.

We came for lunch and sat outside. We sat at the same time as three other tables and the one server, Angie, out on the patio handled it like a champ! We got our drinks, app salads and entrees very fast. The Reuben sandwich was 10/10. Tender, juicy and just enough dressing. Highly recommend! Ask for Angie she rocked it out.

I came here on a Thursday evening with my dog. There was a live cover band playing at the gazebo next door. The food was delicious and the drinks refreshing The servers were very kind to my dog.

I am hard to please when it comes to food. Jameson cooked my salmon to absolute PERFECTION. I know his name because I felt it necessary to share my feelings with the manager, then followed her to the kitchen. Working in the service industry, we always hear what went wrong. I had a party of 6 on a Sunday during peak lunch hours without reservation. Told thirty to forty minute wait time, and was seated in preferred seating outside in less than 20. Conners table touches were impeccable. He was quick but not pushy, attentive but not over bearing. The kitchen themselves... they had a full house. Plates were beautiful, quick and delectable execution. Serious kudos to that crew!

This place was packed on a Saturday afternoon so I was glad we got our reservation. Family/country atmosphere, you sit kind of close to others so it can get loud, but it adds to the charm. Our server was attentive even as he managed lots of tables at once. Our food came out fast and hot. We both got sandwiches, a pot-roast grilled cheese and pulled pork. The meat was a little bland for us and dry. Though I asked for a side of sauce for my grilled cheese which saved it since it had good flavor. Overall the atmosphere and popularity is what you come for.

Many friends over the years have recommended I try the white horse inn. I finally went to try it today with my family. It was great. The building & its history are so special. The food was comforting & delicious. I can’t wait to return.
