The food was good. I had cod dinner. Others had salad, Reuben sandwich, and pot roast dinner. Everyone thought their food was good. But the inside of the restaurant is very cool old style lot of wood hand crafted.
We're retired Michiganders, now living in South Carolina and visiting friends in the area for a few days. We were delighted from the moment we walked in the door, finding lots of wood, antique furnishings, and amazing decor. The interior hearkens back to a New England tavern/restaurant and history is literally everywhere you look. The floor is an interesting hand laid surface of tree limbs cut into short pieces and filled in with cement?, urethane?, something similar?...
Love this quaint area . We always try to make it the third weekend in August for the hot air balloon launch. You can see it perfectly from their patio at the White horse inn. Food is always consistent good quality, and service.
