We have a good friend back home in Arkansas who makes mead, and we’ve spent many weekends helping bottle, sell, and offer samples at local festivals. Over the years, we’ve also visited and sampled products from several meaderies in different parts of the country, so we’ve developed a real appreciation for quality mead. While traveling through Michigan, we stopped at Grimsby Hollow Meadery, and it was one of the highlights of our trip. Mandy Grimsby, the meadmaker, and her husband David, were incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and generous with their time. Mandy was happy to share her experience and passion for mead, making the visit both educational and enjoyable. As impressive as the hospitality was, the mead itself was even better. It was some of the best we’ve had anywhere. Their traditional mead was absolutely spot on—beautifully balanced and exceptionally well made. If you’re a mead enthusiast, or even just curious to try it for the first time, Grimsby Hollow Meadery is well worth the visit. It was a fantastic experience from start to finish, and we look forward to stopping by again whenever we’re in the area.

Wonderful small meadery!!!! Great selections of various styles and flavors of mead as well as delicious food 😋 We tried all the meads they currently had available and none of them were bad!!!! Overall favorite though was the Beekeeper, which I believe is the best traditional barrel aged mead I've ever had 🥃 Worth the drive if you're anywhere in the area and enjoy the liquid of the gods 😁

Went a vendor/small business day so I can't speak of the food (kitchen wasn't open) but great atmosphere and super awesome, helpful, and friendly staff! Definitely a place to check out!

This cozy, nerdy meadery is a perfect hangout for a cozy fall weekend day. The mead selection was wonderfully diverse and the customer service excellent. Also, they’ve got pinball and it’s a fantastic time. Will definitely be returning.
