You can't go wrong here, everything is fantastic - no notes. We always get the smoked whitefish hush puppies. This time we tried the pajun, coq au vin, and whitefish and they were all fantastic. Do not skip dessert, we had a deconstructed strawberry rhubarb pie that was to die for. The staff are so kind and knowledgeable about the menu and helped us with wine pairings for our entrees. There are other restaurants I want to try, but I keep finding myself back here for good reason.

Brunch at Aster is probably the best brunch you can get in Midland. We're always happy with the price and amount of food you get. The yolks on the eggs were a beautiful deep orange and my steak almost made me cry it was so perfect. Beautiful crust on the outside and perfectly medium rare inside. Trying to convince my husband to take me there every Sunday, I can't stop thinking about my experience!

Went with friends after visiting Alden B. Dow House and gardens. We wanted to get a bite before returning to Southeast Michigan. Wow, what a wonderful surprise! One of our friends commented that it was the best meal he'd had in recent memory. I agree!
One shared appetizer, three different entrees, each one fabulous. I highly recommend these tours, and this restaurant, for a beautiful day trip from the Detroit area.

This was our first time dining at Aster and it will not be our last. The menu selection was diverse for all tastes and the quality of our food was excellent. Our only drawback was the lighting in the restaurant was very dim and the font on the menu was a light color, making it very very hard to read.

Just not great. The food does not change much and we don't go there often, we are always underwhelmed. At our meal tonight, drinks were at least a 25 minute wait for each round. We also did not get offered a desert but caught a glimpse of one being made in back. We tipped over $35 on an almost $180 meal so you tell me where the gap was.
