“I recently rediscovered a gem in my college town that has quickly become a monthly tradition for my friends and me since our graduation. The restaurant has an incredible atmosphere and is well worth the slightly higher prices.

One standout dish is the Pasta Wheel—it's an experience in itself! Watching the pasta being prepared and tossed in the wheel is something you don’t want to miss. The flavors are rich and delightful, making it a must-try.

The waitstaff are another highlight; they are personable, knowledgeable, and happy to explain everything on the menu in detail. Their enthusiasm adds to the overall dining experience, making you feel valued as a customer.

If you’re looking for a place that offers delicious food and a warm atmosphere, this restaurant is it. We can’t wait to return each month!

“Absolutely. Hands. Down. The best authentic Italian I have had in over two decades.
We started with the Olive appetizer which combined the sweet taste of honey paired with the savory Olive tamponade topped with a lightly spicy kick. Absolutely delicious.
The veal Parmesan was homemade from scratch and you can tell. Bursting with flavor and topped with sweet savory tomato sauce and bubbling browned mozzarella.
The Bee Sting has a lighter tomato sauce with crispy pepperoni, hot honey and bubbling baked mozzarella on a light fluffy and crispy crust.
The homemade Tiramisu finished this perfect evening out off with its rich, delicious flavors melding together that melted in my mouth.
We will definitely be back to try more faves!!”

“Was so busy people were huddled in their vestibule aka front door 🚪 was so busy they shut down the online ordering was shut down and the port dude at the curbside 🚪 was running around in the controlled chaos. However I do have a tiny little issue. When you order a salad 🥗 for example inside it's a big platter full of goodness but I ordered to go it was far less sized yet paid full and same price but was almost half sized smaller. so 🤔 was I ripped off? Or is this normal for to go orders?”

“We popped in with a large group during the middle of a dance competition we were attending. Mike was our server, and he had just the right amount of humor and awesomeness to keep our group happy. The food was delicious, and not a single kid (out of 6??) complained, the parents were happily fed as well. Hands down though, Mike made it an awesome experience. Part of our group has to unexpectedly leave and go back to the competition, but they boxed it up for us and we took it back for them to enjoy. Since we are fairly local, I'm sure most of us will happily return when we are out that way again! Thanks for the great lunch and the stellar service!”

“This establishment has the most fun drinks of the month! You can try a flight if you’re not sure which to choose. The flavors are fantastic, the atmosphere cozy, and the wonderful barista Sydney takes great care and consideration in creating drinks that are works of art! The food is yummy too, and presented beautifully. Staff is always very friendly and helpful making suggestions if you’re not sure what you want. Give this place a try!”

“We love Dow Gardens and the Canopy walk! I live 50 minutes away, but have purchased a yearly pass for 3 of our family members. It is a great last-day-of-school trip with my children and recently, I brought family from out of state. They loved it so much! The gardens always have something blooming and in the spring the butterfly garden is my favorite.highly recommend seeing this all for yourself. (Make an online reservation when going to view the butterflies in the spring.)

Suggestion: if you have young kids, taking a wagon or stroller is best. The walkways are stroller/wagon friendly. We like to bring snacks or lunches along too. It’s a lot of walking.

Side note: as of August 2024, the playground in the whiting forest is closed. This does disappoint us as our children loved that playground when we went.”

“The macarons at the Midland location were SO good. Very light & fluffy and the flavors were awesome. Stopped by today at the Bay City location and was very disappointed. My 5 year-old daughter took a couple bites and said “Are you sure these are the same cookies as last time?” The macarons were nowhere near how they were in Midland - not sure what changed. They were crunchy with little flavor. I love this shop so I will still be back, hoping it was just an off day. Happy to have them in downtown BC!”

“All I can say is WOW! Very satisfied from the first phone call to the delivery. We had two pasta bundle plus a couple of extra trays for a party of 20 delivered to our house (not in their delivery area but accomodated us) Food was excellent and reasonably hot considering the distance it traveled. Everyone enjoyed the food and the best part was Grandma didn't have to cook!! This experience just added to our family Christmas day. Would do it again, as would our kids. Thank You Very Much”

The server was the only one working and she had a bit of a rush when we got there, but she was still professional, timely, and made sure our drinks were always full. “I’m NOT recommending Mancino’s of Midland. On the afternoon of 8/4 I ordered a 12” Mancino’s Pride pizza. After many very good pizzas I picked up the ABSOLUTE worst pizza I have ever ordered from Mancino’s. It was dry and without any flavor. I would have been better off eating the box. To show my displeasure I called the store. I explained to the young lady why I wasn’t happy with my pizza and I wouldn’t be back again. Her response was “OK”. Mancino’s of Midland can do better. Don’t take my hard earned money and give me an inferior product. Very disappointing! Terry from Midland”

Our subs are always AMAZING with her making them and she even follows my special requests with a smile 😊, we pass three subways and drive 30 minutes for this one in particular and order on the app. Whoever u are, I hope you read this and your boss too.. you make the best SUBS! “Located on Northwood University Campus. What a great little hideaway and right on the Rail Trail. Most are unaware this hotel is open to the public. Clean rooms and at affordable price. It is a great guest experience while you get to help students learn their skill sets. I stay here every time I am in town. Nice and quiet.”

“There is one issue and others have same issue with is they close so early at 2pm it's very hard to dine here finding them open. Which automatically make us go to other places. So you need longer hours just do. Otherwise it's a top notch place with incredible food and seating area.”

“Wish they had their own fountain drink station with the normal Subway drinks available. They share their fountain drink station with the gas station that they are inside of. Usually, half that station isn't working so there's very few choices. They've worked a little on their eating area making it so more people can eat there, but it would be nice to have more comfortable seating with chairs and tables instead of hard benches. The staff is very friendly and the food is delicious and made correctly so I can overlook most of the other issues.”

“We eat at jets a lot. Lately we have noticed a decline in quality. We all know jets is not cheap but it’s worth it. Well this time not so much. We called and talked to “shift manager will” and was told we had to drive to the other end of town to show them because he “knew for a fact these were cooked right”. If this is how jets is now then no one should ever eat there. He was extremely rude and condescending. We had it delivered because we couldn’t go pick it up ourselves. Jets you are unacceptable and there is plenty of competition to avoid you for the foreseeable future.”

“When we arrived... We followed what the signs said and went to the main bar. Then spoke with a waitress... She looked confused and spoke with another employee who then said ok. I asked, "Do we seat ourselves or do you tell us where to sit?" She said we could seat ourselves, so we did (Inside). Then it took about 15 minutes or so, before anyone acknowledged us... No menus, water, etc. We had to ask someone as they were walking by, we were right next to where they pick up the orders! Once we finally got a waiter, service improved and the food was pretty delicious.”

They make a decent selection of beers. Don't drink wine.
Nice atmosphere with outside seating connected to a cute little event venue via a beautiful green space/ beer garden. All this is connected to a bike trail that a lot of locals use to arrive. Food is good.
Prices:
Beers run (late 2024) between 5.5 6.5 basically gonna cost you close to 7 for a pint.
Food is similarly priced, but it is good. 12 bucks for the big pretzel. Nice place for a date.

Parking: Should be fine usually. Can get crowded during events.

Kid-friendliness: There were little ones rubbing around outside. Very pleasant atmosphere definitely lil one friendly. Inside the bar children should be controlled.

Wheelchair accessibility: Nice big paths don't know about restrooms. I would imagine they are ADA compliant.”

“i really, really enjoy biggby coffee. they have a lot of unique flavors and offer plenty of choices of both drinks and snacks throughout the year. my biggest issue is that the service is always a hit or miss. there have been a handful of times where i would have to wait for my drink because some of the baristas are too busy quoting tiktok videos to each other, and other times i am in and out within 5 minutes. overall, this location is my favorite, but i wish service was a bit better.”
