“I got a fancy burger with bacon jam and brie my husband got the buffet. This was on a Friday evening. Food was awesome and cooked to perfection. Johnny, (our waiter) was phenomenal and on the ball. Never had to ask for anything. He knew it and brought it before we could even know we wanted anything. Definitely will be back and asking to sit in Johnny's station!”
“The staff here are kind and I love the frozen drink I always get. Decaf sugar free frozen mocha mocha add whip cream and sugar free chocolate drizzle on top thank you for recommending this drink its so ”
“Great atmosphere,I had the perch dinner, and was very disappointed. It was over priced. The tiniest perch I have ever saw. They were the size of smelt. The grease was not hot enough and the fish were soaking with it.”
“We visited Cozy Cats Cafe in Sanford and had an amazing time! The owner, Crystal, treats you like a close friend or family member. The cafe is very cute and has a great selection of yummy drinks/baked goods. The adoptable cats are friendly and loved very much by the staff. Even if you aren’t a “cat person” you will enjoy the calming and cozy cafe. Go check it out!”
“Our family has really enjoyed eating here for the past year. I strongly suggest the fish sandwich and the chili cheese fries. I recently had the quesadilla, it was loaded with goodies and tasted fantastic. I took forward to the daily specials so I can try something new at each visit. The waitstaff are amazing. At one point they recognized me when I walked in, knew I wanted iced tea with lots of lemon. :)”
“Some of the best pizza I've had in a long time!! My husband and I are full time Rver's and try to find those local gems when we stop someplace. This place is definitely a gem! The food is great and the service even better!! We have been there twice now and had different things on the menu. The salad station is a build your own but not a buffet which I think is great! It is fresh and cold and choices are great. You get a ToGo container and glove to make your own salad, keeps gems off the utensils. There are 2 sizes but we have only done the small salad since we were getting a pizza as well. The breadsticks were just right! They were hot and cheesy without being over cheesed. The pizza, what can I say, is exactly the way a pizza should be! They have 3 different crust, we've had 2 of them so far, and a lot of different toppings and creations. The Hometown Favorite is definitely named correctly. We aren't shy people so we talked with several locals about the location and got only positive things back. We will definitely be visiting this place again, after all we have one more crust to try!!”
“Clean, great service, fresh ingredients, and reasonable prices.Location needs much better road front signage though. If you didn't know it was there you would easily drive past it and just go to the McDonalds right down the road.”
“it depends on who works the front counter but if it's Ethan he has great service and when he brings bags out he is always kind and makes sure everything is in the bag before someone ”
“Onion Pakora starts the meal with a crunchy chickpea batter!! Palak chicken is off the hook, tender and tasty, will definitely be back for it again!!Great shrimp tika masala also. And the Naan garlic or cheesy breads are made to order, soft and hot!!Been here several times. This is the best Indian food in Midland!! Service is first class!!!and don't forget a piping hot cup of Chai tea ???”
“One of the best restaurant experiences I have had. Pricing not cheap, but not exorbitant. The overall experience was worth the money.Dietary restrictions: I do not eat garlic and onions and the kitchen accommodated my restrictions. Said I could order any entre and it would be prepared without garlic and onion. Most restaurants, even high end, will not do this; so I was pleasantly surprised and appreciative.”
“Pizza was very tasty! Crust was perfect; not too soft and doughy but not too thin and crispy. Fresh mozzarella makes a world of difference. Love the local eclectic art work. Will definitely come back again!”
“Found this gem randomly this weekend. Chill frequently vibes AND great service. I accidentally dropped my coffee outside and the employees really made an impact to help turn it around. Thank you!”
“Maru was an amazing experience. Service was amazing. If you visit Maru I would highly recommend that you Request Jessica P. Her knowledge of the menu and attentiveness is second to none. Presentation of our selections where amazing. I highly recommend the Oceans 21, Mario, Cosmo and Spicy Tuna roll. On the Oceans 21 you have to indulge in the cherry bomb sauce. You will thank me later. The price was fair for the quality and amount of food. Maru is more than a sushi restaurant. It's an experience to be had. I cannot recommend Maru enough!”
“A wonderful resteraunt. Everything I've tried here has tasted great! I am not a big fan of squid, but theirs tastes really good! They have lots of customizable options and kids' choices, too. The atmosphere is great and the servers are friendly and very helpful.Vegetarian options: There is a veggies only section of the sushi menu with quite a few combinations.Parking: Lots of spots but they serve several stores so I am sure depending on the time of day the parking will vary.”
“This place is great and the service is phenomenal! We've gotten family in Chicago land hooked on these delicious heavenly treats and they asked if I could bring some down when I visit, which happened to be the next day. I called and asked about a dozen oatmeal chocolate chip cookies for pick up and they said they could have it ready in an hour! Great job guys!”
“A cozy spot. Nice art all about. It's not too noisy for conversation. There's a variety of seating options. The peach tea I ordered was very nice. I did not eat anything but will the next time I go.”
“Stopped in for the first time during lunch on a Wednesday. Staff was super friendly. Atmosphere is any and every generic barbecue place anywhere in the country, not bad but nothing to get excited about. My husband and I shared everything we ordered. Cornbread was a solid 10. Baked beans were as well. I had the BBQ fried rice and it was a 7.5, and I appreciate having unique options. The dill potato salad...I had high hopes. It just lacked something special. I added lots of s&p and it went from a 4 to a 5.5. The Mac and cheese was disappointing, 3.5. The sausage was amazing. 9 all day long. My brisket was good, 7.5. for the portion sizes and food quality, it was more than fairly priced. For Midland, it's amazing food. I'd definitely eat here again when I'm in the area.”
“The BEST tacos ever. Plus the staff was so accommodating as we waited out the rain with a less than patient 3 year old. He set up bowling in the hallway for him to keep entertained!”
“Had the Turkey Reuben sandwich. Very good tasting with quick service. Furniture was a bit old but was clean and in decent condition. Will go back when we are in the area.”
“One of the best pasties I've eaten and I've tried most in the U.P. The homemade pastrami is also world-class. George and Kristin give it 100% and you taste it in everything they serve.”
“We love going to the Cottage Creamery for the best ice cream in Midland. Great staff, generous portions, beautiful outside seating area - what’s not to love . . .”
“Every single time we stop in, the food and service are terrific. We’re always impressed by everything being made from scratch. However, it was today’s simple takeout order that surprised me the most. We stopped for a quick burger and steak fries to go. Understanding that to-go orders generally lose a little bit of quality given the transport, steamed up to-go box, etc. I didn’t expect it to be great. Instead, it was one of the best burgers and fries I’ve had in a long time. Thank you for being a hidden gem that we often return to. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
“We went here for breakfast today, I ordered a veggie omelet. you couldn't even identify the veggies in it they were so burnt. I was going to send it back but the waitress never came back to ask how are meal was. We have gone for dinner here before but never breakfast, probably won't again. It was busy, but seemed to have enough staff on the floor.”
“The most quintessential coffee shop. It offers the perfect sip of Midland's downtown vibe. The staff and people are all types of great. And haven't had one, but the cookies damn sure look the sugary decadence they're intended to be!”
“Beautiful place downtown midland and the food speaks for itself. My whole family visits this restaurant whether it’s for lobster sandwiches or simply a quick drink while being out and about. You should be proud of what you have.Thank you!”
“Some of the best teriyaki in town! I love their gyozas - nice and crispy and yummy!! This place almost always has a line or crowd because it's just that good!”
“Stopped into One Eighteen with my group of three for the first time. Ethan was our server and he did a great job with service. However, I left a little disappointed at my experience. Bread was fantastic and we ordered the Brussels sprouts which were equally amazing. I had the NY Strip Steak and ordered it medium but it came out Well and was a little rough. The potatoes were seasoned perfectly. My friend ordered the chicken sandwich and he loved it. And my other guest ordered the braised rib which she let me try and I thought as she did that it was great. The ambiance was nice and I enjoyed it. Booths were spacious for us. As for my meal I didn't complain because I didn't want to hold my group up. I did see the dessert from the group next to us and it looked incredible. We declined the dessert but I regret not trying it. Overall we were all happy with service and food. I do wish my steak was cooked better and my guest with the braised ribs commented that she would have liked to have some mushrooms added to it. Otherwise nothing extraordinary but a good meal and pleasant evening. Only recommendation I would give would be to change the paper on the fries. It looks like it's out of a 50's diner and clashed with the setting. We all commented at the same time about the paper. Psychologically it made me think that I was at a Denny's or Bobs Big Boy. Also the obvious, cook the steak right. Would I go back? I think I would but the steak sort of turned me off to it. Maybe I'd go back and order something new. I wanted to try the clam chowder, maybe the chicken sandwich and have a go at the braised rib or dessert.”
“Hidden little gem in midland . Great breakfast, huge portions and friendly staff. The omelettes were amazing, very filling and tasty. The pancakes were huge and has great flavor.”
“The macarons at the Midland location were SO good. Very light & fluffy and the flavors were awesome. Stopped by today at the Bay City location and was very disappointed. My 5 year-old daughter took a couple bites and said “Are you sure these are the same cookies as last time?” The macarons were nowhere near how they were in Midland - not sure what changed. They were crunchy with little flavor. I love this shop so I will still be back, hoping it was just an off day. Happy to have them in downtown BC!”
“Maxs is a local friendly place and they aim to serve you very quickly with excellent food. They have a wider range of options and their pizza is yummy. Take cash for a discount.”
