“Great little spot to grab a (free!!) coffee and hang out. Super nice staff, and there are tons of tables and couches and a fireplace. They have a donation box, but there was no pressure to leave anything. It would be nice if they had some bistro sets outside. The back area is super cute and would be a perfect spot to enjoy some coffee on a nice day! Having some tables out front would help advertise it as a coffee spot better—I didn't know it was there until a friend mentioned it. I'm surprised it doesn't get more business since they offer FREE COFFEE!! No strings attached!! ☕”

“Our first visit was tonight. We had the Sexy Bacon roll and the Papa Crema roll, as well as the firecracker shrimp appetizer. The dishes were works of art, with amazing combinations of flavors and textures. Our drinks were just iced water with lemon, but even the lemon was extra fragrant with big, generous slices. So delicious. And our waitress was very friendly and attentive. Will be back for sure.”

It is in the customer service and how the staff threads in kindness throughout their actions. It’s subtle and should be watched for. It’s the little things that expand good service to great service and this is a very impressive group. Beyond that the food and wine were better than expected.”

“So these guys are the new Grove eh... While I do still miss Grove, I am not disappointed in Live Oak. We tried something new today and enjoyed it. Price was a little high I thought, but very nice quality, so you definitely get what you pay for here. Will be an occasional treat place for sure. Also how the hecc did you make a gluten free brownie that didn't taste terrible?! I demand to know your secrets!!”

“We have partnered with Pizza Baker several times to bring LIVE comedy to Midland and they are amazing folks! Our customers rave about the pizza. They go out of their way to tell us about how yummy those pies are that they get when laughing at the comedy shows at Three Bridges Distillery and Taproom. Pizza Baker is friendly, fast and delicious! What more could you ask for? 😋”

“This was our first time going here, we thought the sushi was excellent, very fresh, well made and delicious. Good atmosphere as well. The only thing we didn’t like was our server, we felt rushed and unwelcome. I don’t think I saw her smile once the whole time we were there. The food made up for that so we will go back.”

“Went in to fill the need for a blueberry muffin. Looked at the drink menu and told the barista I couldn’t decide between 3 of the drinks so I chose one. Paid for said drink and muffin. As I was sitting there waiting noticed the “specials” sign. Today was BOGO.. 🥴 I know it’s my fault for not noticing the sign, but would have been nice had she mentioned that it was a special for today if I was interested in trying another drink, I would have indulged a bit more. I’ll still be back but maybe just a sales tip 😁”

“Lived in Midland from ‘96-‘07. Was here a couple times a week at least, picked up to go drinks 3-4x a week. In town today, came for my favorite drink, great service and friendly conversation with the owner Brett. This is still one of my favorite cups of coffee ever. (I’m an Americano guy.) So glad Espresso Milano is still here, to me it’s a quintessential independent coffee shop.”

“Small town feel. Great food and great prices, personal service who treats everyone like regulars, seating for 1 to 8 without much trouble. Only open for breakfast and lunch. The service is exceptional with whoever is working on any given day with an atmosphere of care rather than burden.”
