Pleasantly surprised with our visit to Big Boy this morning for the buffet. Service was excellent and prompt. Buffet was stocked with a decent selection. Fruit, eggs, meats, pancakes, French toast, biscuits and gravy, etc. My teenage son and I had a little of everything and it was good. Would definitely return. This was our first visit.

My food was horrible. Our server was worse. And on top of that, it took forever to Dish up breakfast. I don't know what they put in The Omelette that I had but it looked like the dog food with fake cheese. The server took forever to wait on us didn't even give a nice greeting. Didn't check on how my food was or if I was needing anything. Picked up my mostly full plate without saying a word. Totally unacceptable Experience and I will not go back.

The food itself is good, especially the weekend breakfast buffet. Unfortunately, the service is consistently bad.
Every time I visit, the staff seems unfriendly, and the cashier in particular is very rude. This place could be somewhere I visit often, but because of the poor service, I rarely come back.
Good food cannot make up for such disappointing customer service. I would not recommend this place unless the service improves.

Take out. Big boy has gone down hill. Quality of food is lacking big time. Chicken Tenders were burnt, had to return. Chicken tortilla soup was OK. Tortilla strips were mostly burnt. Also gave us a cold side of cheese sauce!..and Coleslaw tasted old. Simple food can be delicious if employees and management cared. I mean why even sell burnt chicken tenders!? Won't visit for awhile.

I was taking my daughter to Michigan to visit some colleges and I wanted to share with her some memories of my youth. One of those things was eating at a Big Boy restaurant. We found one in Midland, MI. On arrival, I saw the Big Boy and a photo was needed. Entering the place it was like I was back in my childhood. I saw a small salad and soup bar, pies behind the counter and the Big Boy booth. I ordered what was equivalent to a McDonalds Big Mac and my daughter got a chicken sandwich. Both came with fries. You know I love french fries. The server was pleasant and the soda was refilled free. My burger was fine, although the bun may have been on the older side-it wasn't fluffy fresh. My daughter loved her chicken sandwich. We both loved the straight cut fries that remind me of WENDYS. While were were filled up, you can't go to a Big Boy without getting dessert. My daughter got a Cookie and Cream shake and I took a French Silk Pie to go. The server provided us a to-go cup and there was still some extra in the mixing cup which we both got to have. I ate the pie later and it was great! The prices were excellent as was the service. The place is a bit run down but looks good. If you have never been to a Big Boy-give it a try.
