We always try to find somewhere new to try on our way up north. This place will be a staple! Pastrami sandwich was amazing. Lemon croissant, so good. Even the day old sandwich bread we used for grill cheese, I would buy again. We forgot about the Babka, I think it was called, and didn’t eat it til 3 days later. Still soft cinnamony goodness!

My husband and I stopped by Sergey’s Bakery during a road trip, and I can’t rave enough about how amazing it was. Each bite of the croissant and sip of coffee warmed my heart. It’s the kind of cozy spot I’d love to linger in with a book on a rainy or snowy day. The vibe, the staff, the owners, and those pastries are absolutely outstanding. I’m genuinely heartbroken knowing I can’t savor their coffee, lemon cookies, and company every single day. Fingers crossed they open a location in Brooklyn!

It was our 2nd visit to this little gem in our city. My wife and I are both certain this is the only way to start our Sunday. I cannot write enough about everything we have sampled thus far- the sourdough bread, the Basque cheesecake, the sandwiches and the ‘to die for drip coffee’. However what makes the difference is the smile, the warmth of the staff and the overall environment that fosters a welcome. That is from the heart and it is that which makes the difference. I absolutely recommend this paradise. Thank you to the entire team at Chef Sergey’s Bakery that makes a day so special…

I am delighted to share that my initial visit today was a truly enjoyable experience. The staff was exceptionally friendly, and the atmosphere was quite pleasant. I particularly enjoyed the raspberry lemonade and the delicious sourdough loaf, both of which I would rate a perfect 10 out of 10!

I live in Canada, but visit Midland often because I have family there. I am a pastry chef, so I love this place for its from-scratch pastries! Everything I have tried is delicious. My favourite is the peanut butter caramel cookie 😋
My only problem with this place is the customer service. I’ve been in I believe 3 times since they’ve opened and I’ve never felt welcome or appreciated for spending my hard-earned money at this business. I’ve worked strictly at small businesses throughout my life and I know how important customer service is to a place. I don’t believe I’ve ever been helped by one of the owners, so I would advise them to maybe have a talk with their employees about being a bit friendlier. Maybe they’re tired and stressed out from a busy day, but after 3 visits with similarly bad experiences, they should try to figure out a solution for their attitudes.
I also want to say that because I’ve worked in restaurants and bakeries my whole life, I know problem customers, and I am not one. I try to be as quick and easy as possible when I go anywhere because I know how it is.

If you go to Midland, you have to visit this place! Hands down, the best baked goods in town. Quality ingredients! I have personally been in their kitchen area and it’s immaculate. The staff is always friendly. I spoke to a Sioux Chef that works there and he said that everyone that works there loves their jobs. It’s rare to find a place like this. Customer for life. 🫶🏻
