My family and I usually love cottage creamery but this time the service was not great at all. I had brought some of my family that is visiting from Canada because I talked highly about this place. While we did come 30 minutes before close, we had a particularly busy day and wanted to make time for delicious ice cream. The experience was overall rushed and many of the girls working were trying to get us out as fast as possible. Lots of “what do you want?” And “is that it?” with what could be perceived as inhospitable glances. 3 employees behind the counter you’d think it wouldn’t be an issue- especially for a Sunday night in the summer. Not to mention there was another group behind us. I work in customer service so I understand the frustration with guests arriving before close, but I still great them with kindness and hospitality.

When I'm out riding on the rail trail going to Sanford or Coleman or Clare and back, Cottage Creamery is my go to place to rest, relax, and have some delicious ice cream. I usually get butter pecan or coffee on a waffle cone. Service is fast and friendly, even when they are busy. Great place for family with kids, college students and anyone who loves ice cream.
