Overpriced for that you get. The smallest portions I have ever seen. $9 for the smallest Gyro I have ever seen. Just absolute disappointment.

I recently dined at Egyptian Koshery, and I must say, I was extremely disappointed. The food was outrageously overpriced for what was offered. The portions were small, and the quality of the dishes did not justify the high prices. I expected a lot more for the cost, but instead, I felt like I was paying for the ambiance rather than the food. The flavors were mediocre at best, and the ingredients didn't seem fresh. When I was waiting for the food to be served, I heard a lot of microwave beeping which in my mind means they aren’t making things authentically like they say and rather just heating premade products from warehouse food companies. I would not recommend this place if you're looking for value for your money. Save yourself the disappointment and find somewhere else to eat.

The lentil soup, is like a wonderful comfort soup. Everything we tried was great and felt like home cooked food.

Really had high hopes.. although it was not terrible, it was not great. My boss is Middle Eastern so I put all good up to his scale. I shouldn’t because I’m always let down. Gentleman didn’t seem to be very knowledgeable of the few questions I asked about his menu.. ordered falafel bowl, was told there would be 5 falafel in there and only had 4. The falafel was not homemade, I can tell because the last restaurant I went to had the same ones.. lacked some flavor and was a bit pricey for not being a better tasting dish.

Wouldn’t dine again. But was worth a shot! Nevertheless, hope they increase in the future in all areas.

I was so incredibly excited to see and experience this restaurant! I've been craving Stuffed Grape Leaves for over a decade but had no clue this Gem of a restaurant existed until today. The staff are so incredibly friendly and sweet. Dale and Riham Erdman are absolutely wonderful and seemed just as ecstatic about the exchange as I was. 10 out of 10! I hope to be back very soon. Dale recommended the Punjabi Samosa and it couldn't possibly disappoint. It is a bit Spicy for those who aren't used to the heat but it resides more towards the back of the throat and I'm the stomach, perfect for cooling off in the summer and warming up in the up coming cooler days. The Stuffed Grape Leaves are a must as always and a delicious treat to share or keep all to yourself. They offer a great selection of teas, coffee, and other sweet drinks for a quick delight that would perfectly compliment some Baklava or Apricot Pudding. I cannot fathom how to give higher praise. The food is more than worth it and the prices are incredibly reasonable for the quality Cuisine they have to offer.

Vegetarian options: Vegetarian/ Vegan and Gluten Free options. Perfect for anyone with dietary restrictions.

First and foremost, it’s difficult coming home from Detroit where there’s a great middle eastern restaurant on every street corner and getting something that meets expectations in Midland. It’s like spending time in Tokyo and coming back to Maru. I understand where we are and try to keep that in mind.

I ordered the hummus and pita bread. It was just fine overall I’d say. The hummus was somewhat bland and the whole chickpeas were unexpected, but could be an Egyptian thing.

The bread however was inexcusable for a kosher and for the price. It was dry and had the classic texture of frozen and thawed pita, which is not great. I assume they get it from Dearborn or Flint and freeze it as needed but if I’m wrong and it’s made in house daily then I’ll gladly donate 200 dollars to a charity of their choice. Eating fresh pita from New Yasmeen is a life changing experience, trust me.

Overall, it was a little over 12 dollars for a small amount of average food, maybe a half cup of hummus and 4-6 slices of pita. I wish them the best and I’ll probably be back to give them a second chance but if you’ve had better then there’s no going back to Midland Egyptian food. I hope that moving to the mall isn’t the death knell it’s been for so many restaurants before.

Vegetarian options: It’s a Koshery so it’s going to be entirely vegetarian.

Wheelchair accessibility: It’s in the mall so there’s plenty of room and no wheelchair accessibility issues.

I come here for the Turkish coffee and desserts. SO GOOD! 10:10 would recommend. I hate that they moved to the mall… now the coffee comes in a tiny to go cup instead of a fancy little tea cup. Miss the vibes from when it was a sit down restaurant. Otherwise best Turkish spot in town.
