Lived in Midland from ‘96-‘07. Was here a couple times a week at least, picked up to go drinks 3-4x a week. In town today, came for my favorite drink, great service and friendly conversation with the owner Brett. This is still one of my favorite cups of coffee ever. (I’m an Americano guy.) So glad Espresso Milano is still here, to me it’s a quintessential independent coffee shop.

They keep buckets of grounds behind the counter for customers to take but doesn’t advertise so it’s get MOLDY. Owner has bought expired product for discounted prices along with selling drinks with expired milk. Take a look at any of the expiration dates in the drink cooler or cookies on counter. Could keep going but I fear that’s enough.
Nice plants though.

So much to love about this independent coffee shop in downtown Midland - a cozy, inviting atmosphere; indoor and outdoor seating; an impressive variety of coffee, tea and blended beverages; tasty snacks and a super friendly, knowledgable and hospitable barista. My friend and I will definitely return here next time we meet in Midland!

This place deserves 26 stars. The bagels are incredible (dont rush the process), muffins are amazing with gluten free and vegan options. The chai latte is the best I've ever had and I would definitely consider myself a snob when it comes to chai. Service has always been excellent. The owner is a very kind man and takes his time interacting with his customers. If the rest of this review hasn't convinced you to stop in, at least go and check out his plant collection!

I've came here a few times for snacks and coffee. They use high quality, freshly roasted beans and staff is friendly! I was talking to my barista about beans I like and he gave me free samples of the house brew which was DELICIOUS! Brazilian beans. I walked out with a 6 shot latte with a little hazelnut. It wasn't overly sweet and the coffee was still the highlight of the sip, the milk and hazelnut just enhanced it. Check them out if you're downtown!

Please support this great coffee shop! Super welcoming, still has those cozy 90's coffee shop vibes. My fav is the caramel kiss, which even after a price increase is still super reasonable compared to other places in Midland. Get the portafino beans as well!

I’ve been stopping in the Espresso Milano since the day it opened in 1993. The coffee is great! Owner Brett is always friendly and helpful.
The coffee I go seemed burnt other than that the flavor was weak. Not satisfied is third time I have taken family there and is just not a good experience.
Parking: Parking is on the road and has been hard to get a spot and has to cross the road to get there.
Wheelchair accessibility: I on ground level with smooth entrance
