Came from out of town for a show at Midland center for the arts and randomly choose a spot to grab lunch first and we couldn't have choose a better spot! Right away felt welcome and comfortable. The food was phenomenal and we received a lot of helpful recommendations from the staff. We are now including them in our dinner date restaurants.

Enjoyed this unusual taco place with lots of gluten free and vegetarian options. Cute decor, lefty hippy vibe, yummy and some unusual tacos. Would definitely go back again. Fun merch too. Picked up a nice mug to add to my collection.

Just had the Polly tacos at the downtown midland NYE party and wow those were the best tacos I’ve had by far and I’ve had a fair share of tacos in my 19 years of life😉 sooooo amazing 10/10 recommend to EVERYONE!!!!

Our amazing group of runners/triathletes gathered at Proper Taco for our annual Team Supreme gathering and Ashley put out a taco bar to DIE for! We were welcomed graciously and treated like queens! The food was great! The nachos Tom style were so fresh and tasty. Had a lime drink with it. There was only one person working and she has a great balance of taking orders and getting food out including to go orders.
All the merchandise and other cute little items for sale were fun to look at while we waited too.

Cute lil place. I love how the tacos all have people names! It's fun and the employees are very friendly and fast! There's so much to look at too! I had fun going through the basket of pins!
The taco I ordered was very good, and it was quite drippy! I had to wrap it with a napkin to contain. I'm definitely going to go back for more!

It could be great with some tweaks, but it’s nice to have another Midland option.
I had the salad which was fresh and had a good mix of flavors with roasted corn, pickled onions, and avocado salsa. It could’ve used a dressing—the lettuce felt plain. A citrus vinaigrette or creamy dressing would’ve taken it up a notch.
Their beans taste like they were just rinsed from a can and coated in spices. Don’t expect authentic Mexican food.
Staff said the kimchi taco was incorrectly labeled as a vegan option. The kimchi they use isn’t vegan. Vegan kimchi is easy to find these days, so it would be nice if they corrected that.

It’s nice to have some more vegetable based vegan options in the area, but the food is mostly kept chilled and some of the flavor mix was either underpowered or overpowered.
The menu does mark the kimchi taco as vegan but they told us it is actually mislabeled since the kimchi has shrimp in it.
