The Smokin' Joe pasty is ridiculously good. This blows all the U.P. pasties out of the water. Love Shier's!!!!

Delicious pasties! Large with tasty filling and an excellent crust. Reasonable pricing too. My Cornish grandfather who introduced me to pasties would have loved this place. I was happy to buy some frozen ones or bring home. Staff was polite and appreciative of our business. I only wished I lived closer to here.

Did some research on local restaurants near Dow Gardens before coming to the area and this place is a true gem! Our family of four all had hot beef pasties and we all loved them so much that we bought some frozen to take home! We have had pasties in many locations throughout Michigan and this place was one of the absolute best!! The crust was unbelievable and fillings top notch. It appeared to be a small family owned restaurant and you could taste the care and attention they put in their food. We will return when we come back to the Midland area!

We were sitting in the hospital while a family member had a procedure…. Had remembered this deli. I ran out and picked up sandwiches! They were amazing and so fresh and delicious. Go here to grab a quick fresh lunch if you’re in the area! So good!

I personally think this family deserves a larger space with more seating for some of the best food in Midland! Along with kind owners and a smoker rolling with delish foods all the time, you can't get a better beef pasty in Michigan! The best!!

My family is all from Northern Michigan and this place was EXQUISITE! It was just like Grandma's cooking. The German potato salad was sooo good! The smokin' Joe pasty was what I was impatiently waiting for Friday to roll around...it not only met my expectations but well surpassed them! Not dry at all! VERY generous portion, the smoke flavor was perfect ?. I even got a monster cookie to go and it was the perfect combination of chewy, sweet and salty. Shier's made this Michigan girl so happy!

Very impressed with my first experience here! My husband and I ordered Rueben’s and they were incredible! Juicy meat on a homemade bun. YUM! We will be returning for sure!

This place was awesome. We ordered the turkey and provolone, cheddar brisket, and dinty Moore. Really good, good proportions, and the buns looked homemade. We also got a beef pasty, also good. The German potatoes salad reminded me of my Aunt Mary's, a flavor I will always be trying to chase and remember. It was delicious. It was worth it.

My boyfriend said it was the best brisket he's had at a restaurant which says alot because we are from Atlanta! Pasties were flavorful... we had both chicken and beef. Just wish there was a better ratio of chicken and beef. Will definitely
