Glacia Tavern is 100% worth the visit. Their daily specials are both unique and delicious.
They have a great beer selection.
Excellent menu, with great entree and appetizers. Fantastic desert options.
call ahead for reservations can be helpful.

A really great place in a small town. Good portions and excellent menu selection. They also have some very unique menu options with selections you don’t find other places. Perfect place for a date night or celebration. Easy access off the highway. Very friendly staff.

What a GEM hidden in this tiny little town. We were on vacation and just so happened to be staying across the street from Glacia (Lucky us!!) Our first night there we were asked if we had reservations, which we did not. They were able to seat us anyways and WHAT A TREAT!! The food was AH-MAZ-ING!!
We promptly made reservations for the next night. It's been my experience finding good food in Northern Michigan, challenging to say the least, so we were beyond surprised and excited to find this place. Everything tasted fresh and it would seem whomever is in the kitchen loves what they do. I would recommend reservations as they do get quite busy. I feel like the price is totally fair, since food is expensive anyways AND it's amazing. If you're in the area I HIGHLY recommend giving this place a try. Our experience was exceptional. I look forward to going back someday.

I had the ribeye and my wife had the truffle something pasta and all I can say is they knocked it out of the park. The staff was very friendly (almost too friendly) which is OUR problem not theirs, we’re a bit introverted haha.

Reservations Necessary. Host and waitstaff very friendly as one would expect from a very small UP town. The food was what you would expect in a competitive big city. I had the Gyro Bowl and it was bursting with flavor. Totally unexpected! My husband had the fish and chip bowl-wow! It was delicious and very generous amount of fish! They even had Guinness for the win! Definitely recommend if going to the Keewanaw Peninsula!

Don't let the pool table in the middle of the bar floor fool you, you are in for some great food. Since my wife has recently become gluten intolerant we never know what she will be able to order so we were pleasantly surprised with the many options from dishes that featured ancient grains, like the Brussel Sprout bowl that she had, to gf pasta to gf bun for their burgers. And speaking of burgers that is what I went with, a blue cheese burger with Buffalo sauce. What stood out about the burger is that every thing stood out, nothing overwhelmed the other flavors. The meat, which seemed fresh and possible local, wasn't overwhelmed by the sauce which wasn't overwhelmed by the blue cheese. Perfect! The only disappointment was the French fries. I love fresh cut fries and these were not.
My wife's bowl was different, and not different in a bad way. The mix of sliced and flash fried sprouts, bacon and shaved paramasan top a generous serving of ancient grains. It, too, was very delicious.

We've been regulars here for 6+ years. They had some challenges during and shortly after Covid, but came through it very well. In short, this is one of the best restaurants in the Keweenaw, and has the most reasonable prices of the few places with really good food.
What's good - basically everything!
Key point: if you are planning to eat dinner here, make reservations. They will still seat you without a reservation, ONLY if space is available. This place is popular and during tourist season they're often quite full. There's not much room to wait either, the whole place is in use as restaurant and bar. So make reservations if you can. If not, the parking lot is a decent indicator of how busy they are.

This place is my new favorite! They get very busy on the weekend but worth the wait. Huge beer and cocktail selection; the food never misses; and service is amazing.
If they have the Dill Pickle Soup try it! Pretzels apps are craveable and burgers are the very best!! It’s a must stop when we are in the Keweenaw!

I camped at the nearby state park and I always ask rangers where they like to eat. This place was mentioned and gave it a try.
It was so good! It was jam packed when we got there on a rainy day but we didn’t have to wait too long for a table. The waitress was attentive and not pushy. I had the Brussels sprout grain bowl and it was top tier. Unexpected for a bar in The Yoop. My friend had the burger and said it was the best one she had the whole trip.
If you’re in copper country this place is worth the stop

Absolutely the rudest place ever! Sat at the door for 5 minutes, completely ignored, then at a table for 25 more without ever being served.
