I called the store, hoping for a pre-or-post Paczki Day special order. THE MONICA, herself, called to get my order. I took a chance to ask if she could do a dozen poppyseed paczki. My Auntie Bessie used to make poppyseed 'shishka', a bohemian version of polish paczki, in the 1950s. I've not had one in 65+ years, after moving from Chicago . Every year, I've wondered if a paczki-maker would be so kind as to fill some with poppyseed. MONICA MADE ME POPPYSEED PACZKI - out of this world!!! THANK YOU MONICA!!“
