Out of the way spot, but absolutely worth the detour. We ordered the 3 piece whitefish basket and the whitefish chowder. The fries are hand cut, they were crispy and not greasy, which is a knockout in my humble opinion.
The fish was fried skin on, the batter is light, well seasoned and a compliment to the fish without taking over.
The whitefish chowder was the real MVP, it had big potatoes that were creamy, the fish wasn't fishy or overpowering. Love love love.
Also has a cute little store.

Charming, vintage with the best fresh fish. We had 2 white fish baskets fries. They have many other amazing smoked fish we sampled. Worth the trip, worth the detour if your hungry for the best fish house in all the UP. Loved the fact they smoke fresh fish daily and oepn year round. Great service and God bless! Definitely worth a return trip.

Good food nice people very friendly and the bacon and cheese is excellent I was very impressed with the fish but I just didn't have the money to get any but yes this will be a regular stop on my yearly trip to the up

Stopped in for lunch on a whim and we were all highly impressed.
The smoked whitefish spread was more like a whitefish salad, which I LOVED. Piled it on bread the next day and was very happy. Smoked whitefish chowder was homemade with love and care and I would drink this by the gallon. Whitefish and walleye baskets were to die for. And the whitefish sandwich was as amazing as you'd expect. Bonus: the fries that came with the sandwich and baskets were also utterly delicious.
Cannot say enough good things about this place. I will definitely make this a regular stop coming in and out of the UP and plan better so that I can take more home from here next time. Big thanks to the wonderful staff for their hospitality and pride in their food.

Great Fresh Fish cooked for you on the fly. Same fish vacuum packed frozen ready to take home for your freezer. Grab some cheese curds and fresh fish dip to go. Awesome!!

Hidden gem in the UP. Found this place by suggestion and it’s everything we hoped for and more. The whitefish chowder was amazing and the owners are so nice.. they have amazing smoked fish!!! We will be back for sure the next time we’re up here!!!
