“Happened to catch these guys open on NY day... they were smoking fresh fish.Very friendly, the interior is super cool and the display of vintage / antique outboard motors, fishing tackle, oil cans, etc. only adds to the ambiance. There is a wide variety of fish, cheeses, pickled goods, snack items, etc. and there is a sit-down area for food that is prepared fresh on-site too.The Smoked Lake Trout is the best I have ever had; and I have been testing my whole life! The fish was tender, not over-smoked, completely boned and had a great flavor.I can't wait to go back!!!”

“This was my first and most amazing experience with a pasty. It tasted so good with wholesome ingredients. I loved hearing how they were made and the history. She even helped with how I could warm it up for camping later. Needless to say this was perfect for waiting 45 minutes to get to cross the bridge. I will definitely be back and look forward to trying the venison some day. Thank you!”

“I am in LOVE! From the moment I walked through the doors, I was welcomed with smiles and warmth that set the stage for feeling like you are with family.I was so pleased at how many flavor profiles the menu offered!  The plates of food we saw being delivered to the tables made it so hard for us to decide what we wanted. The pasties looked AMAZING!What really stood out about the Whitetail Restaurant and Grill was how friendly they were and how much attention they gave us, making sure we were well taken care of.Oh, and the Salted Caramel Whisky Hot Cider ?!?!?  That was incredible, and it was a good thing someone was there to stop me from making those my meal.We had the Whitetail Steak and Alfredo, which was cooked to perfection, and you can't roll through a town without trying what the locals say is one of the best burgers. They were absolutely right, as that was also perfection and the cook did my chips exactly how I asked. We also ordered a pizza so we could take some back to our hotel with us, and the only thing I regret is not ordering more.If you find yourself in Moran, Michigan, PLEASE visit the Whitetail Restaurant and Grill. I can't wait to go back but this time, we will be getting breakfast. I heard their omelets are fantastic.”
