Upon waiting for our order one of the workers turned the salad bar sign around, soon a couple came in and was seated, the guy went up to salad bar and made his plate, meanwhile one of the waitress came out and asked the hostess why he was eating off the salad bar, the way I see working at a restaurant myself is if you're going to close down the salad bar, block it off like other places do, don't blame the hostess
