“We have been to the UP several times and each time try pasties from different places. So far, the first two times were just okay. But this time we went to homemade pasties and it was THE BEST we have had. Crust was flakey and perfect, and the filling savory and perfectly cooked. The gravy was also beyond wonderful. I made the mistake of saying gravy only with the sliders. Do not be like past Kim. Be like Kim in a few days who will get more beef pasties with gravy. All the gravy. If they offer it in quarts, quarts of gravy. Seriously. The sliders we found were easier to eat than the regular size, but honestly you can’t go wrong either way. I did prefer the beef to chicken.“

“It was my first time trying pasties and Lehto's beef, rutabaga, and potato pasty was amazing! Especially dipped in the brown gravy! I would definitely come back again and get some frozen to take back home! The person who served us was very friendly and welcoming. They gave us great recommendations.“

“We stopped into this unassuming “carry out” because of their pasties sign along route 2. Upon entry we were warmly greeted by the two most friendly people in the UP. They made recommendations on which pasty to purchase. So we purchased some frozen and two hot ones for the ride home. To give honor to the UP, we cracked one open on the bridge. Wow!!! What a treat. This was the most flavorful, overstuffed pasty in our our travels in the UP. The beef pasties had chunks of beef, potato and rutabaga. You could taste each ingredient with each bite. The pasties were so moist, and flavorful, no gravy was necessary. Way to much chance for problems when driving. I Gi be this our highest recommendation for my favorite pasties in the UP. Our only regret is not getting more than 6 frozen pasties. This will make our return trip to the UP only more flavorful. Keep up the great work. No need to change a thing.“

“By far and single-handedly, one of the best cups of gourmet coffee I've ever had.! It was our first experience at Joe's today. And definitely will not be our last! A wonderful, small hometown feel coffee shop/restaurant with one of the most friendliest people I believe I've ever had the opportunity and pleasure to meet. 10 out of 10 and I will definitely recommend to anyone who will listen.“

St Ignace Truck Stop American • $

“We really love this place❤️ always friendly personnel, always. We stop in quite often, we make a lot of runs between Johannesburg - to the UP, sometimes 3,4 times a week. When we stay over night it’s always here, or we’ll even drop in quick for a carry out to take with us on way back across bridge:) It’s a clean & quaint place!- I just want to add a small note quick, lately when I order cakes or a full breakfast, the pancakes & hash browns have been pretty over done. Been forgetting some things too. This last meal it was the salad. I’m not going to list it all bc it’s only been recently, like the last month or so. I’ll usually just run back in for whatever is missed, sometimes I take back in my pancakes sometimes I don’t. I got an omelette the last 2 times & honestly was just too tired to run back & forth. But they do always make up for it. No matter what you’re not losing our business? My husband typically always gets the fish or steak & all but once loves them both! Steaks are always cooked to order also! Thank you all for your dependability & friendliness!“

“Great place to have a meal and drink with friends. We sat at the bar in the winter and devoured the white fish. We returned on our boat this summer to enjoy a yummy meal on the open deck. There's a little splash pad and a nice grassy area for the kids. Great place to dine and unwind with little ones.“

“While the food was great, the front hostess and waitress were on the verge of being downright rude. Not in the least bit friendly. Hostess seemed annoyed at everyone that came in. Definitely can use a refresher course on how to interact with customers.“
