“For me and my family, a trip north across the Mackinac Bridge is not complete without stopping at the Mackinac Fish Market in St. Ignace. The smoked fish, Whitecaps spread, and whitefish sausage are our favorites! We have been stopping here for years and found the products to always be fresh and consistently flavorful. My personal favorite is the Whitecaps spread on Chicago Flatbread (available at Mackinac Fish Market), it is incredible! Tom and the rest of the staff are friendly and provide awesome service. They will even pack your purchase on ice for travel!“

“Great place to have a meal and drink with friends. We sat at the bar in the winter and devoured the white fish. We returned on our boat this summer to enjoy a yummy meal on the open deck. There's a little splash pad and a nice grassy area for the kids. Great place to dine and unwind with little ones.“

The Driftwood Motel Restaurant & Sports Bar Sports Bar • $$

“While the food was great, the front hostess and waitress were on the verge of being downright rude. Not in the least bit friendly. Hostess seemed annoyed at everyone that came in. Definitely can use a refresher course on how to interact with customers.“

“Best whitefish in Mackinaw City. I drive 35 miles, one way, to get it. Worth it every single time. If whitefish isn't for you try the chicken tenders, perch, shrimp or walleye. Hush puppies to die for. House made tartar and cole slaw. Friendly folks and great food, nothing better.“
