Gus' Mt. Clemens Coney Island

Recently started working downtown and came here for lunch the last 2 days. I have a feeling they're going to see me quite often lol! Serena (idk if I spelled that right!!) and Lisa are super friendly and funny! I think the owner was in too. Nice guy. I'm impressed overall!

Gus's coney Island was terrible. First of all, they only allow 1 free refill. Next, there's no combos....if you want a burger, you've got to buy the fries separately. If you want shredded cheese on your salad, you pay extra. The tarter sauce for the fish tastes like deviled eggs. My cabbage soup was cold and tasted like lemon juice and tomato sauce. It's too bad because the staff is friendly. The place is clean. I used to eat here and never had an issue. I guess everything is different now.

The food and service has always been amazing but the atmosphere has disappeared along with all the comic themed decorations that have made it Gus's for all these years, Ive been coming here since I was very little and it's very disappointing to see what I've loved that has never changed is now gone. It feels much less fun and personal now that all of the comic stuff is gone. Serina is an amazing server by the way :)

I have been going to this Coney island since I was a baby me and my family used to go here to see the cool theme restaurant superheroes I do not think changing the decorations was the right move bring back the old Gus's, and over time it has been not so busy like it used to be, and I believe that's because of taking the decor down that the community loved so much like me and my family. But over all good food and my server serina was great very good and loved talking with her.

I walked right across the street and came here for my lunch break while on jury duty. Was kind of stressed out about being away from work during a very busy time and coming here was honestly such a great decision. Very friendly atmosphere; I was treated as though I had been a regular for years even though it was my first visit. Absolutely lifted my mood.

No wait and very quick to order and receive my food. The chicken pita hit the spot, was warm, and tasted fresh! Serina was my server and she was awesome; very great to talk to and provided excellent service.

Will definitely make my way back here next time I am in downtown Mt. Clemens!

Heard they cut portion sizes and raised prices. We went for dinner and ordered fish and chips. Smallest 3 pieces of cod I've ever seen with a fish dinner

35 weeks pregnant and very disappointed not only in the food but when I called to say something about my food quality I was rudely told “where did you like to eat because I’m not gonna work there” I don’t feel comfortable eating somewhere when they don’t care about their customers 🤮

I called to talk to someone about how my strawberry shake was strawberry milk, although it was freshly made. And how my chicken hani had fatty tissue all throughout it, and how my romaine or lettuce that was chosen to be put on here was not fresh.. I got told “maybe I should go get a job somewhere else? Where do you like to eat so I won’t go there” I’m at a loss for words. Everytime I come here I spend 30+ on a meal and it’s frequently throughout the year. But not anymore.. 👎 and up on top of that when a DoorDash came Into this Coney Island he walked up to my bag and just picked it up like it was period. Just to let you know, if you are a Dasher just don’t walk into a building and grab random bags to see what name is on it. Don’t be spreading your germs if you don’t have to.. we got more attitude than we did chili on our fries. I’m not going back until new ownership happens 👎 booooo.. I can definitely see how this place is funded by the courthouse and by glizzy goblins 👀

Food was not good. The staff was nice enough though. Place felt strange and the robot mean mugging me got on my nerves.

The service has always been very prompt for me. Typically quicker than alot of fast food restaurants.
