School’s out for the summer, so I came home from out of state and got to spend some time with my mom. My younger brother’s still in high school here, and Dad was thrilled to have us all together. He took us to a local restaurant he likes to go to with friends.
It was my first time there. We ordered pan-fried pork pot stickers, steamed shrimp dumplings, and three main dishes: House Spicy Crispy Beef, Szechuan Seafood Triple Delight, and the House Special Combo. Everything was fresh and delicious. It was a busy weekend, so we waited about 30 minutes, and dinner took around 70 minutes—pretty reasonable.
Mom was happy she didn’t have to cook, and I loved the place—it was lively but not noisy, clean with wooden floors. Before we left, we took a family photo in front of a picture of Chef Jan to remember the evening.
I’m a retired high school teacher who loves Asian food. I used to teach English in cities like New York, Philly, and Chicago. I travel freely now in my spare time.
Last week, while passing through Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, I stopped at an Asian restaurant. The walls were covered with photos and awards from top culinary competitions — World Culinary Championship, German Olympic Culinary Competition, and more. It was my first time eating at a place run by a world-class chef, and I was curious.
The server recommended the Chef Jan Special, but I stuck with my favorite, Kung Pao Chicken with Peanuts. It was beautifully presented with a little red flower and smelled amazing. The flavors were unlike anything I’d had before — absolutely delicious.
Back at the hotel, I was still savoring that meal. If you’re a food lover, this spot is a must-visit. One of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. Thankful for this experience!
Haley was amazing. She was so kind and made sure our food was delicious!! We ordered carry out and were so impressed! We cannot wait to come back again. 10/10
Great vegetarian options. Mock orange chicken is my go-to.
I was recently invited to a friend’s college graduation dinner at a popular local restaurant. The atmosphere was lively, perfect for celebrating. We each ordered our favorite dishes, and after about twenty minutes, the food arrived. I started with crispy veggie spring rolls – perfectly seasoned and flavorful.
For the main course, I had the chef’s special, the Mongolian Triple Feast, featuring jumbo shrimp, chicken, beef, and seasonal vegetables. The seasoning was a perfect blend of sweet, salty, sour, and spicy. The shrimp was tender, and the thinly sliced chicken and beef were juicy and well-cooked. The colorful veggies added a nice crunch and visual appeal.
It was one of the best meals I’ve had in a while – surprisingly refined for such a small town. My friends were equally impressed, making it a memorable celebration with great food and company!
Absolutely the best Chinese food I have ever had! The restaurant was spotless. The service was polite and attentive. The price was a bit higher than the places I usually go. But it's definitely worth every penny!
Food is delicious, staff are friendly.
I've been a regular from back at china garden. The owners here are absolutely outstanding individuals. They have the best crab ragoon in town. Delivery service take an hour but absolutely worth the wait! Normally it's the owner delivering she's a beautiful soul!! Thank y'all for being a big part of our community.

I recently visited a popular Chinese restaurant that a friend recommended, and it didn’t disappoint. The interior was clean and stylish, with awards and photos of the chef on display, creating a classy first impression.
I ordered the Spicy Gulf Jumbo Shrimp, the chef’s signature dish. The shrimp were perfectly cooked with a delicious mix of sweet, sour, and spicy flavors, served over garlic-sautéed spinach—absolutely tasty. For dessert, I had the fried banana, which was crispy, warm, and satisfying.
Great food, friendly service, and a comfortable atmosphere—I really enjoyed the experience and would definitely return.
Chicken was good but different from any i have had called what I ordered. Fried rice was gummy white rice with soy sause poored on it. Price was higher than on website menue.
Restaurantji Recommends
All I wanted to say is I've given this restaurant 3 different chances been disappointed every time. The food was much better before you moved locations the sweet and sour sauce isn't the same not good at all the chicken egg foo young is terrible I was supposed to get a Ten dollar refund but didn't. I spent all most 22 dollars and didn't even eat but a few bites. The award winning chef isn't award winning in my opinion. I'm just one person but I will not give you a fourth try
Great food and great customer service. I highly recommend this spot!!!
