“This would have been a great experience if not for what appeared to be a manager's meeting taking place in a nearby booth. The manager (or GM, I assume) spoke very loudly throughout the meeting, discussing employees' mistakes, difficult customers, and frustrations with the wait staff. Unfortunately, it was distracting and not something guests should be overhearing while trying to enjoy their meal. The service and overall experience were otherwise good, but the volume and nature of the conversation took away from what could have been an excellent visit.”

It's family-owned and it shows in the warm, welcoming vibe. We left with arms full of pumpkins and hearts full of memories. “I would like to give compliments & some improvements. If it weren't for the nice hostess, I would have turned around and left. It was filled with people inside and I couldn't hear my husband even talk when we were seated. The font was so tiny in the menu, so I needed my phone flashlight. Their selection of cocktails is really nice and they have wine too. They were kind enough to move us outside when a table opened up. It was a wonderful evening outside, and much quieter. The sushi took a long time to be delivered, however it tasted fresh . The server was friendly.”

We come to Mount Pleasant Michigan a couple times a year because our child attends college there last year. The few times we came and ordered out our orders were incorrect. The staff was rude. The staff was too busy to take people's orders playing on their phones. Horrible experiences the 2 times we were in last year. Well, yesterday, in the early afternoon, we made an order with a young lady and I would like to give hats off to her. She was so pleasant. I'm so kind. We really want to just stay in there and eat our Pizza. That atmosphere was amazing. I am very proud of the team you guys have this year. We want to send a special shout out to this young lady that served us apologize, if we have the name wrong, but we believe it was a kyla. Your hospitality skills in service are top of the line.Great job!”

“I put in a reservation because I knew it'd be a couple hour wait. I received an early call back and my table was ready. I was able to get right in. The wait staff is very friendly and helpful. The food came out within a reasonable time. The food was tasty and cooked well. The waitress refilled drinks at a timely manner. The atmosphere was nice and relaxing.”

Good quality beef cooked perfectly to my requested medium. I devoured it. I got potato wedges with it. They were huge and hotter than the sun. They barely cooled down by the time my burger was finished. Besides burning my tongue, lol, they were very good. While we where there a couple came in to get a place for a party of ten. The staff immediately arranged tables for the party and seated the couple. After ten minutes the couple received a call. They had it on speaker, so no regards to others. Part of their party was at a different restaurant. The lady told them the already had arranged the tables for their party at this location. Then the couple decided to leave and meet their party at a different location. This couple has no regards to let the wait staff. They decided to sneak out. Instead of just letting the wait staff know they changed locations and where no longer going to be eating here.”

From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by a polite and friendly woman who went above and beyond to guide us through the menu since we hadn’t tried Korean food before. We started with the Pop Mahn-Doo, fried vegetable and fish dumplings served with kimchi and pickled yellow radish. These bite-sized appetizers were bursting with flavor and spice! Each bite, especially when paired with the garnishes, was an unforgettable explosion of deliciousness. I haven’t stopped thinking about them since my first bite – absolutely 10/10! For our main dishes, we decided to try the Bul-Go-Gi (beef stir-fry with rice) and Dak Bokk-Eum (chicken stir-fry with rice). Though we weren't feeling extremely adventurous this time, we were still blown away by how savory and flavorful both dishes were. We ended up sharing the plates right in the middle of the table because neither of us could decide which one was better. Both dishes had the perfect combination of spices and textures, leaving us wanting more. To finish, we had the mochi ice cream with delicious strawberry ice cream wrapped in a soft, doughy exterior. It was the perfect way to cool down and end an incredible meal. I can’t wait to return to Shins Korean Restaurant. The service, the selection, and the flavors are all top-notch. The sauce is perfect, right amount of cheese, and the crust is just the way you are expecting it to be. Not too crispy - not too doughy. They don't go cheap on ingredients - they use the good stuff. Huge fan. If you are feeding a big group, the party pizza is the way to go.”

“I came through the drive thru and the Manager (I'm so sorry, I can't remember her name although she told me), was so friendly and kind. Sadly, I had forgotten my card and asked if I could just get my drink. She gave me the whole meal at no cost. I needed this kindness. Little did she know, I was down in Mount Pleasant for my next blood draw as I was just diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. Life has been hard and my mind has been all over the place (hence why I can't remember this sweet lady's name at the moment, maybe Destiny?). She told me, "We all have bad days, and need a little pick me up." I was so thankful for her. Please keep up the great work and keep being kind. You just never know when someone needs it.”
