“1st visit vs 2nd visit: from 1 star service to now a 5

You can read why our first visit was less than satisfactory down below, but I wanted to come back and edit my review because our 1st experience was VERY different from our 2nd. I ended up getting in touch with a manager after our 1st experience and they very kindly gave us a gift card and asked us to return sometime soon. We ended up returning today, February 13th, and our experience was absolutely wonderful from start to finish: Brielle (I think that is how you spell her name) was wonderful, and food and drinks were fantastic, and we left completely satisfied and happy! The French onion soup is the best I've had, and I really enjoyed the scallops as well. We will be back again!

The 1st experience:
The food was fanatastic, but our service was really lacking.

The sebass I ordered was delicious but did not come prepared as described on the menu. It said it would come with a soy glaze over Asian vegetables and it came over a bed of spinach with a garlic breading.
Our server forgot to put in our order, or something similar to that. We couldn't understand what had even happened. We arrived at 4:45 and didn't receive our food until 6:30.
The manager came over to speak with us but did not ask us about our experience or offer any discount or retribution. Our server ended up just bringing us dessert and bread to take home. We were running so behind we had to box our food and take it to go at that point so we didn't even get to enjoy it in the restaurant.
Hoping others have a better experience, especially when the bill is almost $400.”

“What an enchanting autumn adventure at Papa's Pumpkin Patch! From the moment we arrived, the vibrant sea of orange pumpkins set against the crisp fall backdrop had us hooked! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, sharing tips on picking the best pumpkins and even assisting with loading our haul into the car. It's family-owned and it shows in the warm, welcoming vibe. We left with arms full of pumpkins and hearts full of memories. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a quintessential fall experience, five stars all the way! We'll be back next year!”

“I would like to give compliments & some improvements. If it weren't for the nice hostess, I would have turned around and left. It was filled with people inside and I couldn't hear my husband even talk when we were seated. The font was so tiny in the menu, so I needed my phone flashlight. Their selection of cocktails is really nice and they have wine too. They were kind enough to move us outside when a table opened up. It was a wonderful evening outside, and much quieter. The sushi took a long time to be delivered, however it tasted fresh . The server was friendly.”

We come to Mount Pleasant Michigan a couple times a year because our child attends college there last year. The few times we came and ordered out our orders were incorrect. The staff was rude. The staff was too busy to take people's orders playing on their phones. Horrible experiences the 2 times we were in last year. Well, yesterday, in the early afternoon, we made an order with a young lady and I would like to give hats off to her. She was so pleasant. I'm so kind. We really want to just stay in there and eat our Pizza. That atmosphere was amazing. I am very proud of the team you guys have this year. We want to send a special shout out to this young lady that served us apologize, if we have the name wrong, but we believe it was a kyla. Your hospitality skills in service are top of the line.Great job!”

Good quality beef cooked perfectly to my requested medium. I devoured it. I got potato wedges with it. They were huge and hotter than the sun. They barely cooled down by the time my burger was finished. Besides burning my tongue, lol, they were very good. This may not fall into my favorite best burgers it is very good and if I lived in the area it would definitely be in my rotation of burgers”

“Creation Coffee is my favorite coffee shop in town and easily my go-to spot for just about everything. Whether I’m meeting up with a friend for a relaxed coffee chat or spending a few hours working through a project, it always feels like the perfect place to settle in and stay awhile.

The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and genuinely inclusive, making it comfortable for all members of the community. It has that ideal balance of being lively without feeling overwhelming, so it works just as well for socializing as it does for getting focused work done.

My server was very nice and efficient, taking my order promptly. I opted for the Turkey Club with fries, and the food arrived in just 10 minutes.\n\nThe sandwich was delicious, with tasty turkey and fresh toppings. The fries were perfectly cooked as well. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by a polite and friendly woman who went above and beyond to guide us through the menu since we hadn’t tried Korean food before. We started with the Pop Mahn-Doo, fried vegetable and fish dumplings served with kimchi and pickled yellow radish. These bite-sized appetizers were bursting with flavor and spice! Each bite, especially when paired with the garnishes, was an unforgettable explosion of deliciousness. I haven’t stopped thinking about them since my first bite – absolutely 10/10! For our main dishes, we decided to try the Bul-Go-Gi (beef stir-fry with rice) and Dak Bokk-Eum (chicken stir-fry with rice). Though we weren't feeling extremely adventurous this time, we were still blown away by how savory and flavorful both dishes were. We ended up sharing the plates right in the middle of the table because neither of us could decide which one was better. Both dishes had the perfect combination of spices and textures, leaving us wanting more. To finish, we had the mochi ice cream with delicious strawberry ice cream wrapped in a soft, doughy exterior. It was the perfect way to cool down and end an incredible meal. I can’t wait to return to Shins Korean Restaurant. The service, the selection, and the flavors are all top-notch. “There are a lot of options for pizza in MP, but this is definitely the best. This is the one the locals eat at. The sauce is perfect, right amount of cheese, and the crust is just the way you are expecting it to be. Not too crispy - not too doughy. They don't go cheap on ingredients - they use the good stuff. Huge fan. If you are feeding a big group, the party pizza is the way to go.”

“I came through the drive thru and the Manager (I'm so sorry, I can't remember her name although she told me), was so friendly and kind. Sadly, I had forgotten my card and asked if I could just get my drink. She gave me the whole meal at no cost. I needed this kindness. Little did she know, I was down in Mount Pleasant for my next blood draw as I was just diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. Life has been hard and my mind has been all over the place (hence why I can't remember this sweet lady's name at the moment, maybe Destiny?). She told me, "We all have bad days, and need a little pick me up." I was so thankful for her. Please keep up the great work and keep being kind. You just never know when someone needs it.”

“HIGHLY RECOMMEND! every meal brought to the table was mouthwatering delicious. my son got the shrimp tacos and the Alfredo. my wife got the Cajun Penne and I ordered the 14oz Chipotle ribeye. hands down the best steak I've had in a restaurant in a long time. it was cooked too my exact liking. and the Chipotle butter was a new but needed food experience. it was so good. I had 2 different martinis (midori and lemon drop) I recommend asking them to top off with a bit of sprite and they were some of the best beverages I've had to accompany my meal. I'm traveling through but I'll make it a point to eat here everytime I'm in the area. excellent food. excellent service.”
