We were in town for my wife's Doctoral graduation. We stayed in the house on the side with 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms. It was absolutely amazing. Everything was brand new. The bed we had was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in and I kind of want to find out what mattress they use haha. I also called to have a surprise bouquet of flowers set up in the room. The hosts were so accommodating and the bouquet was absolutely beautiful. I am sure it is amazing in the summer but it is a beautiful spot in the winter with all the decorations. Thanks for the great experience.
Weekend getaway perfection at The Ginkgo Tree Historic Boutique Hotel! We stayed two nights this past weekend and absolutely loved every minute. The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas, so cozy, festive, and full of charm!
We stayed on the top floor in the Wedgewood Room and the Grand Ginkgo Room, and both were incredibly cozy, elegant, and each had its own private bathroom suite. Such a lovely, peaceful place to unwind.
We also opted for the breakfast service, and the owner made us the most gorgeous and delicious French toast—truly next-level and such a special touch.
If you’re looking for a warm, charming, and memorable boutique stay, this place is an absolute gem. We’ll definitely be back!
A lovely and gracious home placed very convenient to downtown restaurants and shops. We opted for the charcuterie board and wine and it was both beautiful and delicious which we enjoyed on the balcony overlooking the gazebo and the river. Breakfast was also delicious and the portions were just right. Nick, David, and Layla made us feel welcome and pampered with everything we needed.
I have photographed a couple of weddings at Ginko Tree and the space is really beautiful. The owners are kind and professional. Everything is always so elegant and lovely.
Absolutely love this place! A step back in time. The room was specious, clean and comfortable. Downtown is within walking distance. Nick and Layla were exceptional hosts. Highly recommend staying here if you're in the area.
These are the nicest people you’d ever hope to meet. The B&B is on the Chippewa (River) and Island Park with Pickleball! We love Pickleball and got to play with some pretty good players. Farmers Marker is on Thursday and we missed it, but 2 blocks away we had a blast downtown. We give a thumbs up.
We were in town for our anniversary and had such a great stay. Amazing location in walking distance to all of our stops for the night! We had some issues with the fan in our room and they were quick to come try and fix the issue. They ended up moving us to the room across the hall. We appreciated the quick response and kindness of all the staff we met during our stay.
Beautiful home and room was amazing. Great location and breakfast! Super friendly staff/owners, highly recommend.
Wonderful property, close to downtown so were we able to walk to the famers market . Staff is warm and welcoming. I will return anytime in the area.
A must stay if you are in the area. The sweetest people ever and Layla can whip up some amazing breakfast. Can’t wait to come back!

Stayed one night for a weekend in town and had the loveliest time at the Ginkgo Tree! The room was gorgeous with a beautiful quaint deck set for two to enjoy the summer breeze and sunshine. It was easy to access the property after dark, and the staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming. We also enjoyed a beautiful breakfast and our dietary restrictions were accommodated without any issues (vegan and halal). The experience was wonderful and for anyone looking for a quaint, quiet, romantic getaway this is certainly the place to go in Mt Pleasant!
Wonderfully historic venue for a wedding celebration. The owners are hands on and very friendly. Was there serving as an officiant for a wedding and after having been there would love to come back as a guest. Truly a gem!
A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Mount Pleasant!!
Our stay at the Ginkgo Tree Inn was nothing short of magical. This charming boutique bed and breakfast is tucked inside a beautifully preserved historic home built in 1901, and every corner radiates warmth, character, and care. The location is absolutely perfect—just a short walk to downtown shops, restaurants, and local spots, yet it feels like a peaceful retreat all its own.
The owners are truly what make this place shine. From the moment we arrived, we felt like long-lost friends reunited—they are gracious, welcoming, and full of great local recommendations. The accommodations are comfortable, cozy, and thoughtfully appointed, and the front porch? Absolutely to die for. It’s the kind of spot you want to linger on all morning with a cup of coffee or wind down in the evening with a good book.
An added bonus is its location near the river, which adds to the serene atmosphere. We heard they have plans to incorporate the riverfront more into the property, and we can’t wait to come back and experience that!
If you’re looking for a stay that combines small-town charm, historic elegance, and genuine hospitality, the Ginkgo Tree Inn is it.
WOW! What a wonderful stay. Hosts David and Nick were polite, attentive, and just made my sister and I feel so welcome and at home. We are both so glad we stayed at this gem, and we highly suggest getting the breakfast package. Thank you for making our weekend, we will be back. :)
Great place to stay. The people were so nice. The room was spacious and clean. There are fun little metal sculptures hanging around the wall of the lobby and restaurant. Breakfast was great.
