Ugh! I wanted to love it but could barely get through one visit. First let me say the guy cooking our hibachi was super fun and nice. The service was non existent - never asked anyone if they wanted refills, brought me my bill without asking if anyone wanted dessert, and never cleared soup and salad dishes. While the food is unquestionably average, the real highlight of Kuji has to be the hostess Ella. If you need food recs that's one thing, but to get a hostess with the IQ of the next Isaac Newton and the swagger of Samuel L. Jackson, well, you can't really be surprised when you walk in and instantly get a good impression of the joint. Also, good on the owner Isabel for doing her best in a tough & competitive environment.
