This place would be a great date night as the atmosphere is very classy feeling. The sushi is really tasty and the service is good. They are a bit pricey, but definitely worth trying out if you’ve never been!

Best sushi in MP! They have a great menu at affordable prices (especially for the quality of fish). Great drink menu. Staff is always professional. I've been here dozens of times. Not sure why they have 3.5 star review but it deserves better!

Sushi was cold (was supposed to be baked) took almost an hour to get two sushi rolls. I could see it sitting out on the counter for a while so I finally asked the server how much longer and the she proceeded to go grab what had been sitting there for a while. Very small portions compared to other sushi restaurants. The table next to us had a hair in their sushi..so gross. No apologies offered for the wait or any check ins. Somehow the table next to us on the other side that arrived well after us got food before us. Will not be going back.

We made reservations for 6:00 pm as we had a show to make at 8:00 pm. We arrived on time only to be told that we would have to sit at the bar or face an additional 20-25 minute wait. We chose the bar and sat at the end with a tray of fruit in front of us. (Very little room to try to eat). When the couple next to us left, we told the bartender that we would like to slide down. She said go ahead but, didn't bother to clean up after the people who had left. (I poured some water on the bar to wipe it down after I moved their dirty dishes). We sat there for about 10 minutes before anyone asked if we would like to order. We ordered drinks and appetizers then. Drinks came right away; appetizers 20 minutes later. We ordered crab Rangoon as one of our appetizers. They were a lot of dough with less than a teaspoon of filling. They were definitely not worth the cost. We then ordered 3 different Sushi rolls. At 7:04, we were still waiting for the sushi. We asked about it and was told it would be another 5-10 minutes. At this point we canceled the order as we had to drive to the event, park and walk in. Bottom line...very disappointing experience with both food and service. This may be an ok place to go have a couple of drinks if you have a couple of hours to spare but, don't expect outstanding service or food. We waited for over an hour at a dirty bar to not even get our food.

Couldn't ask for a better sushi spot in the middle of Michigan. Never had a bad bite or a rude server.

Midori was great, particularly the Martinis! The sushi was probably the best I've had in mid-michigan, but still didn't quite reach the quality of the sushi you can get for similar prices on the coasts. That being said, I'd definitely recommend this spot if you're in the area.

We were stuck at the door for 15 minutes with no host, no acknowledgment from any staff, and we had a reservation. After being seated we waited 45 minutes for our first drink!!! We then had to send back a nigiri roll because the chef took it upon himself to sear the salmon and add toppings. Overall, we continue to have complaints every time we come in. We keep going back thinking it was just a bad experience but never fails to disappoint…I’d say getting more experienced bartenders would be a start and there is no need to Americanize sushi. Especially nigiri…it’s nigiri for a reason.

The food here is AMAZING! The service is top teir. The manager runs a tight ship, and you can tell it's run well. This is the perfect "first date" place to take someone or just to have a really good dinner with someone. The seating is a bit tight, that's the only complaint. I could hear both conversations going on both sides of me. I prefer to order and take it to go. The atmosphere inside is more geared towards people who like cocktails. They have a cocktail/drink menu as well as the regular food menu. My husband doesn't eat sea food, and he loves the food here as well. He enjoyed the Teriyaki bowl, I am a big fan of their Michigan roll. We both love the Potstickers!

Very nice atmosphere, excellent service & great food! A hidden gem in downtown Mt Pleasant - We sat by the window and had a nice view as well!

The only bad experience was, we were eating outdoors and there was music coming from a performance in a nearby park but it conflicted with the music from the restaurant and they weren't able to turn the restaurant music off or down.
