⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Shins Korean Restaurant is an absolute hidden gem! My husband and I discovered this place by chance, and we couldn't be happier that we did. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by a polite and friendly woman who went above and beyond to guide us through the menu since we hadn’t tried Korean food before. We started with the Pop Mahn-Doo, fried vegetable and fish dumplings served with kimchi and pickled yellow radish. These bite-sized appetizers were bursting with flavor and spice! Each bite, especially when paired with the garnishes, was an unforgettable explosion of deliciousness. I haven’t stopped thinking about them since my first bite – absolutely 10/10! For our main dishes, we decided to try the Bul-Go-Gi (beef stir-fry with rice) and Dak Bokk-Eum (chicken stir-fry with rice). Though we weren't feeling extremely adventurous this time, we were still blown away by how savory and flavorful both dishes were. We ended up sharing the plates right in the middle of the table because neither of us could decide which one was better. Both dishes had the perfect combination of spices and textures, leaving us wanting more. To finish, we had the mochi ice cream with delicious strawberry ice cream wrapped in a soft, doughy exterior. It was the perfect way to cool down and end an incredible meal. I can’t wait to return to Shins Korean Restaurant. The service, the selection, and the flavors are all top-notch. If you haven’t been yet, you’re seriously missing out!
Shins Korean Restaurant is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a kind and polite staff member who went above and beyond to help us navigate the menu as first-timers to Korean cuisine. We started with the Pop Mahn-Doo, fried vegetable and fish dumplings served with kimchi and pickled yellow radish. These bite-sized delights were bursting with flavor, enhanced even more when paired with the garnishes. I’m not exaggerating when I say I haven’t stopped thinking about them since the first bite. Definitely a 10/10 appetizer! For our main dishes, we went with the Bul-Go-Gi (a beef stir-fry with rice) and the Dak Bokk-Eum (a chicken stir-fry with rice). My husband and I shared the plates, alternating bites, and couldn’t pick a favorite because both were incredibly savory and perfectly seasoned. Next time, we plan to be more adventurous with our selections because every bite was so flavorful and satisfying. To finish, we treated ourselves to a mochi ice cream dessert. The strawberry ice cream encased in the chewy doughy exterior was the perfect sweet ending to an amazing meal. The food, service, and selection at Shins Korean Restaurant are truly outstanding. I can’t wait for our next visit! Highly recommended for anyone looking for a delicious and memorable dining experience.
My husband and I tried this place for the first time today and we both were highly impressed. The food so fresh and delicious and the owner was so kind and helpful. I don’t like kimchi but their kimchi was delicious! And the homemade soy sauce was the best! We will definitely be back soon. We recommend everyone try this place, I promise, you won’t be disappointed!

I got the bulgogi today. I don't even like kimchi and I ate all of it. The pickled ginger was excellent... I really enjoyed my meal today and thought it was worth stopping by and giving a good review. Thanks!

Absolutely fantastic experience at Shin's Korean Restaurant in Mt. Pleasant! The food was incredibly fresh and bursting with flavor, truly some of the best I've had in town. The service was friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The prices were very reasonable, and the speed of service was impressive. Unlike many other places in town, Shin's offers a unique and authentic dining experience. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a top-notch meal!

Excellent Korean food! The clear menu works well for those not familiar with Korean food. Came here on a recommendation and was not disappointed! Give it a try and be sure to get some house made soy sauce.

Excellent authentic food! Banchan (korean side dishes) came out right away and were delicious. The main dish came out less then 5 minutes. Ordered the Bulgogi, meat was tender and rice perfectly sticky. Very fast service.
Owner was very friendly, been in business in Mount P for 14 years, and can tell she loves Mount P and her customers!
A must try!!!

I've only been once, and my friend and I got the same thing, so this review is pretty limited. However, I wanted to submit it because what we had (bulgogi) was awesome. The portion was generous, the meat beautifully cook, the sauce flavor fantastic. The meal was served with 3 cold sides, all of which were good but the kimchi was especially good. I wish there had been more. The choices are limited and this is a bare-bones operation (e.g. order at the counter but food brought to the table) with little attempt at decor, but I'll definitely be back because the meal was so satisfying.
