I have always loved John's bar ever since I moved to Michigan from Colorado, my dad showed me this place and I always try to stop by if I'm ever hungry. A small bar/party store on M-15, a few miles south of Bay City. I stopped in here on a mid-day afternoon, and there was no one else there besides the owner. As I mentioned, the building is very small. I believe it is connected to their house. I ordered a chicken sandwich. The grills/stoves are located directly across from the bar, so I actually got to see her make my order. The food was great and reasonably priced.
Stopped here for a drink-they have the nicest staff and customers. Both are very welcoming and make you feel right at home. Extremely reasonable prices that surely can’t be beat anywhere. Although we all only had one drink, a week later the bartender remembered all of our orders. Not bad for only seeing us once in his life!
