The post itself is nice. I like the look and the vibe. Very nice banquet hall. Good food menu. But, here's your fair warning, if you're not a member of this specific post or a local, do not plan on a welcoming reception. I travel a lot and as a Legion member I like my money going towards posts when I travel, but it was very obvious that no one was particularly pleased with my presence here.

I stopped in at the tail end of the Friday fish fry with my two boys. The staff was friendly, the food was great and the drinks were cold. I'll be back again someday. This was a good stop.

Extremely poor. My TWO marines came in on vacation from out of state and were refused service immediately after entry and being asked if they had their membership card. When stated they do not have one present, but could prove service, they were asked to leave! What the actual? Does this town respect veterans?

I was denied service the moment we walked in. Visiting from TX and decided to stop in for a drink. I am a member of the American Legion in TX, however I did not bring my membership card on my trip. I was with another Veteran as well, but the bartender did not even give us a chance to say hello. Although, we were Vets, we were refused service immediately. I’ve been to America Legions and VFWs across the U.S., and never have been treated like this. How unfortunate.
We wanted a good fish fry. First time spending significantly time in Munising Mi. We decided to try the American Legion partly because my husband is a veteran and every else I've had wonderful fish fries for an American Legion. The place was packed we got a table connected to the bar. We took another couples menu(they had already ordered). We sat there another 15minutes before anyone knowledged us. Luckily we knew what we wanted so we placed our order. We've heard about the fresh White Fish and it did not disappoint. We received our food in a timely mater but NO ONE bothered to check on us and my husband ended up eating his meal with nothing to drink, due to NO ONE checking in on us. I watched our server take care of the regulars but never once looked our way. My husband even tapped his empty can and NOTHING!!!! We ate I shared my water and we literally waited 20 minutes to get our check. Not a place to go to if you're not a regular. We Will Not go back.

We were tourists looking for a Friday night fish fry. The Legion was very easy access for the wheelchair.The food was excellent. The servers are all volunteers and seemed overwhelmed. They definitely needed a break.We were very disappointed that you could only order alcohol beverages if you were a member.

Amazing fish fry's! Our order got lost twice but it was well worth the wait still! Ran out of trout and whitefish but still got the perch, walleye, and haddock. Walleye was the best! All were great though still
