Business trip to Grand Rapids area and Muskegon. A great late afternoon walking the pier at Grand Haven and then I decided to try dinner in Muskegon. I knew this place was my vibe when I first entered- dark, moody with the velvet curtains. My manhattan’s were wonderful and my salad and lasagna was delicious! Exactly what I was looking for.
A Perfect End-of-Summer Celebration
This was our first time visiting Capone’s Speak Easy, and we couldn’t have chosen a better spot to celebrate the end of summer before our kids head back to college. We were looking for a high-end restaurant with exceptional food quality—something on par with our usual go-to, Two Tony’s—but wanted to try something new.

First time to Capones. We expected a little more gangster decor. He had lasagna which was great. Loved the sauce. She had the fettuccine Alfredo and one meatball. The sauce had little flavor and the plain meatball arrived plopped on top of the dish. A very unappealing presentation. Ate very little of it. Folks nearby had deep dish pizza which looked wonderful. I'd go that route next time and avoid the tasteless Alfredo. I did get a generous pour of Reisling! Server was rushed....
