We love Scribs pizza. They make sure every bite has a fair amount of toppings. Worth it every time.

THIS SCORE IS FOR TONIGHT'S ORDER ONLY:

Mr. Scrib's pizza is the first pizza place I remember being in Muskegon, and the first pizza I remember eating... EVER. So, not only do I love the taste (usually), it holds a very special place in my heart. Tonight, though, it was rather disappointing. It was very dry (even for my husband, who orders light sauce and light cheese from every other pizza place but here) and quite tough. Plus, one side was burned, making 3 or 4 slices inedible.

Nobody's perfect. Everybody makes mistakes now and then. This certainly isn't going to turn me off their pizza, that's for sure, but tonight was simply not up to their usual standards.

P.S. Tonight I saw another review that complained about the breadsticks with cheese. A few weeks ago, I ordered the 'crusty bread' for the first time, and what we recieved was not what we expected. We thought it would be something like pizza crust sprinkled with parmesan cheese, cut into sticks (or something like that). We were sent breadsticks filled with cheese (which, incidentally, were WAY underbaked and doughy), just like the ones in the picture that reviewer posted. At the time, we figured were simply mistaken in what we expected we'd get. Now, it would seem that we weren't mistaken after all, and that we were sent the wrong item. Maybe we'll have to try ordering the crusty bread again someday.

I always read reviews before I post. Human nature interests me, and I love reading others' opinions. So here's my comments on others' reviews, and here is my review.

I travel a lot. 300-500 miles a day, sometimes further and sometimes multiple states. I have this weird addiction to trying different Taco Bell locations and trying random slices of pizza from random places and even pizza chains because I'm curious how different places can make pizza taste in different ways. Even breakfast pizza.

What I want to say is for those complaining about how the pizza has changed over the years.... For starters our taste buds can change every 7 years. Second, things just change in general. It's a natural part of life. Nothing stays the same. Human nature is to reject change, so think about your opinion and other factors before being so negative. These people work hard, and sometimes things aren't exact, but to say something along the lines of, "it's been great until this one time. So I won't be back." You're only hurting yourself by missing out on this incredibly delicious pizza. Try to remember other good times, don't hate something or someone for a single mistake. Besides, mistakes are how we grow. Feedback is great, but also, in reality, you're a single customer. You're not going to break their bank.

My review;

This is absolutely the best pizza I've ever had. I remember it tasting exactly this way every time my parents would buy it when I was a kid. This was a very joyous moment in our household because I grew up poor, and the price of this pizza is definitely worth every penny. So when we got Mr. Scrib's pizza, it was like a holiday.

I moved out to Grand Rapids years ago, and I have tried damn near every pizza joint out here... people rave over Fricano's, Vito's pizza, and a few others, but imo they taste like generic pizza. I literally miss Mr. Scrib's pizza every time I try a slice from a different place.

From Muskegon to Chicago to Pennsylvania, to Washington DC, I'm telling you from experience, there is not a better tasting pizza than Mr. Scrib's. You literally cannot see the map of Michigan from all my pinged locations in Michigan alone on Google maps.

The crust has crispy edges, yet soft to chew. The cheese is just right and even sometimes crispy on the edges as well. The combination of how the flavors meld together is literally perfect. And what I find to be the best part is that when you add toppings, they aren't skimpy. They actually add toppings to the pizza. All the other places charge the same price for toppings, but you get very few added ingredients for the price.

As for the price, these pizzas could sell for a lot more than $20 for a large 1 topping. I'm very tight with my money but if Mr. Scrib's had a location in Grand Rapids. I'd part ways with $30 or more every Friday.

I usually buy a pizza to give away to a random homeless person once a week, (It's my way of tithing). That being said, if Mr. Scrib's was in Grand Rapids, you'd definitely be my guy! So you should think about a location out this way! But stay away from alpine, that street is a busy mess.

I want to say Thank You, Mr. Scrib's, for being part of the good memories from my childhood and making such a wonderful pizza. I appreciate you and all of your employees and all of their hard work.

Your crust may be thin, but YOU rise above the rest.

This pizza tastes nothing like Mr. Scribbs.
Dough(crust) is tasteless, the sauce is so different (its not what it used to be), the cheese is so thin that it doesn't even cover the pizza all the way, plus it's burnt.

I had a call in order. They gave me a time my order was to be ready. When I arrived at that time it was ready and staff was astronomical in their service.

Never had a problem until tonight. I don’t know how you undercook a thin crust pizza. The dough was stuck to the cardboard, they obviously knew things were wrong because they put two cardboard backings underneath to keep it from collapsing when I picked it up. $28 for a pizza they knew wasn’t done, so disappointing for a long standing institution. I’d look at whoever you just hired. I won’t be back. Get your house in order. You have one thing to do and it’s easy, or I guess not.

Hi ordered scribs on laketon regularly, they are closed Mondays. Ordered today on a Monday and asked for the exact order we get 3-5 times a month from laketon. Med Peperoini bacon. Med Pepperoin, half mushroom, crispy. My wife wanted extra cheese this time so we ordered that too. Told the guy 2 times my order. Got mushrooms on the whole pizza. No big deal, I call and tell them. Told them i told the guy twice my order (i know 100% i ordered mushroom on half i order this almost every week). The lady tried to make me feel dumb for the order being wrong because it was written down the way we got it, but the guy wrote it down wrong. I told him twice and i order this all the time from laketon, i did not, not say half mushroom. They didn't make it right. Anyway, never again. Lake 4Eva. 1 star review 4eva never gunna change. I spent 70 dollars. Eat weiners.
