They were pretty busy. I got a Houston Skillet with a biscuit and Stuffed French Toast.FOOD: The sausage gravy and breakfast potatoes were tasty! I think the skillet could've been assembled better. The ingredients were not mixed, not much bacon, and not enough sausage gravy. The stuffed french toast was not crispy on the outside. The biscuit was undercooked.SERVICE: The employee taking my order over the phone was nice. I was told I would get a text when my order was ready, but I never received anything. No condiments or utensils in my bag. The whole process was admittedly quick.

I went here for the 1st time and didn’t feel appreciated. First I was told to have a seat anywhere. Once seated I sit down and wasn’t acknowledged for at least 10 mins. Then 2 older Caucasian men sit across from me. Within 1 minute they were acknowledged and given coffee. After they were given coffee I then was asked if I wanted anything to drink. I ordered a mimosa and water. Once I got the mimosa I had to wait another 5 minutes for my water and straw. Then I ordered my food. Next thing you know the 2 gentlemen across from me food was given to them. That’s when I became frustrated because how they come sit down and get served coffee and food within 10 mins and I had been waiting for at least 15 minutes before I was even acknowledged. They wasn’t even busy at the time. So I went to the counter paid for my mimosa and decided to just leave. It was at least 3-4 servers at the time. Just really feel as if I wasn’t appreciated maybe because I’m black and was the only person of color at the establishment. I really wanted to try their food but the service just made me feel uncomfortable

I wanted to try this newer place. so we were kid free and decided to go. upon walking in, it was inviting and cute. staff was very friendly.we waiting almost 20 minutes for our food. they weren't that busy but what ever we weren't in a hurry. we got it and was immediately not impressed. hubby's eggs were overcooked, potatoes were cold and very greesy. my stuffed hasbrowns were greasy and cold. I asked for sausage instead of bacon. neither were in it. my biscuit was hard as a rock. I had to use alot of force just to pull it apart. there were staff members wearing leggings and a tube top, I don't feel that is very professional for a family restaurant. again, staff was friendly just not professionally dressed.

I was excited to try a new breakfast place in the Muskegon area, but unfortunately was let down by this place, wish we would have went to the steak and egger instead. Waiter was nice and pleasant, but we were the only people in the place and it took way too long to get our food. You guys should probably print out some new menus as the ones offered were worn out and falling apart, just not a good impression. Chips in the coffee cups and out of the other coffee choices on the menu. Waffles and pancakes were dry and bland and the "skillet" was served on a plate, really greasy and not good. Sorry just hate spending money on bad food, maybe we just caught em on a bad day, we all have em...

We love this place! Service is friendly and the food is delicious. Highly recommend both the omelettes and skillets. Our guests recently had the stuffed hash browns and loved them.

Long wait times. The skillet was very salty. The eggs were not over hard, they were still very runny. The sauce that came with the chicken and waffles was very odd, similar taste and texture to cocktail sauce. It was fine with hot sauce and syrup instead. Honey would’ve been nice. Fruit bowl was lack luster, it contained orange slices, apple slices and some blueberries that were smashed and flavorless. It was an okay meal. I wouldn’t make a point to return.

The Broken Egg is by far the best breakfast experience I have ever had. This place has the cutest farmhouse aesthetic and plays great country music. Took a trip to Muskegon for 3 days and we came here all 3 mornings. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. HIGHLY recommend.

My parents, husband, daughters and I decided to stop here for a brunch time meal. The menu was so unique and the atmosphere was very friendly with cute farmhouse decor. I ordered the chicken and waffles and it was one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. The fried chicken was seasoned perfectly and the waffles were tasty. The portions were very generous and service was fairly quick. Our server was very nice. My 5 year old and 10.5 month old thoroughly enjoyed the French toast and some eggs along with bites of fried chicken. My dad and husband were also happy with their meals. I am so glad we chose this place and will return if we are back in the area.

Service was great!!! Food was excellent, we tried the veggie omelette and fried chicken biscuit. Portions were massive!!!! We will definitely be back again to try more dishes.
Vegetarian options: They had a couple vegetarian options and options to make your own combinations.
Kid-friendliness: Had games and an assortment of coloring books.
Parking: Plenty of parking
The breakfast burrito was amazing! The veggie omelette was delicious as well and was a huge portion. The service was fast and friendly. This is a great little breakfast spot. I highly recommend and will be back.
We were excited to give this new place a try so stopped in today (Sunday just after 1pm) and was told the wait for food might be longer due to short kitchen staff but that the wait for food would be the same seated at a table or the bar. Since we were kid free for once, we decided on the bar. A young girl can up right away and asked what we wanted to drink. We got waters and was given menus. We knew what we wanted about 3 mins after looking at the menu so placed them away from us to indicate we were ready to order. Then we waited. And waited. And waited. There were many employees behind the bar (and even what we believe was a manager) and no one said anything to us. We finally told the women standing pretty much directly in front of us washing cups we were ready to order and if she could tell our waitress (who was cashing out a table). She did and then we proceeded to still wait. The manager, nor any other employees, stepped over to help her out and take our order. Finally, just after 1:30, we got up and left. I am not sure I’ve ever waited that long before just to our our order in. Had they said the wait staff was short handed we could understand. But that was not said and it also was very clear there were a number of serving staff available just from looking around. Pretty disappointed and won’t be going back to try.
