Fabulous gluten-free pasties!! I’ve had them twice now and they never disappoint. They are super careful about cross-contamination, since one of the owners is gluten-free. I forgot this most recent visit, but if you want to eat it hot when you arrive be sure to call ahead so they have an hour to bake it. This place is a MUST when we are in the U.P. When they make the GF pasties, they clean and sanitize their equipment and surfaces and then they do not use regular flour for 24 hours prior to making their gluten free pasties. Gluten-free, Dairy-free PASTIES! My partner has so much trouble finding stuff he can eat with a GF / DF diet, so it's worth singing the praises of any shop that can cater to him. Heads up though -- call ahead an hour to make sure they're hot and ready! (It takes 20 minutes to get anywhere in the UP anyway, so I'm okay with this.)Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free, Dairy-free

I always get pasties to go here. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options are available but it is helpful to call at least an hour ahead if you want them hot and ready.Vegetarian options: These are about as good of vegetarian pasties that I've ever had.Dietary restrictions: Gluton free pasties are available. This is definitely the best Gluton free crust I've had.

Small town feel, big gourmet taste. This is a regular stop for me in the U.P. Eveything always tastes so good!
Had a trip checklist that included trying a genuine UP Pasty - found Iron Town on my route and popped in for lunch. Had the Traditional Beef and it was delicious! So glad I stopped!

So excited to have a gluten free option for pasties!I ordered a few gluten free frozen and called ahead an hour ahead and they heated one up for me. The rest of the frozen ones came wrapped up and with great instructions for how to heat them when I got home.Super friendly staff as well. :)Dietary restrictions: Great gluten free

Perfect! These are my comfort food. I had them in my school lunch as a child in the 80’s so I’m a connoisseur. Perfect crust, tasty filling, baked just enough. I bought some frozen to take home. The young man behind the counter was helpful and professional. Thank you!!
We have been going around to try as many pasties as possible — so many times we have passed this one and they’re not open or we had just ate and forgot that they were there — but not now. We stopped in around lunch and it smelled great. Noticed many were out — we ended up getting a chicken pot pie and a beirock - both with gravy. I loved the innereds wasn’t a fan of the pastry - hubby loved the entire thing. Pasties are a personal thing - its like calling a kid ugly. The ladies working there were wonderful, they were attentive, helpful and cheery. They also have mini ones - but were too hungry for anything mini. I know I will be back and will try something else —

Every time I go to the Porcupine Mountains or Copper Harbor I make a stop at Iron Town for the best pasties of the UP!

Came late into Negaunee around 10pm and they had fresh baked beef pasties warm out of the oven. Traveling from Duluth to lower Michigan, I didn't have any dinner that night. My first time trying an official pasty and it was what I imagined, very tasty and filling. I'm on a low carb diet, but I couldn't resist and it was worth it. The two working at the counter were very friendly. Thanks for the memories :)
