I went for my birthday. Waiting almost 1 hour for drinks and food. Salmon was cold when arrived and Caesar salad presentation was awful.waitress was not attentive.. but did quickly rush to place tab on table immediately after food was served. No thank you.. never agay
The food is excellent, I had a gluten free burger and fries today and nachos with chicken last night both were so good. The service was extremely pleasant from the moment we arrived. Last night Lou (the manager) greeted us when we came in, she is so sweet. And Camille was friendly and very knowledgeable. For lunch we had Stacy as our waitress, she very personable which made our time there even better. Will definitely be back.

We had an appetizer (jalapeño dip), followed by the bluegill platter and the Monday special, surf and turf. All were excellent! The service was attentive and friendly. All in all, a wonderful dining experience.

We ALWAYS enjoy our time at Kankakee Grille. We love the ambience and the food. The band Saturday night (2/24) was AMAZING! I request you book the local bands "Nawty" and "Aftermath"!!

Horrible. Surf n Turf for Valentine's dinner and it's a salmon patty. Lobster is what most people think of. Lobster roll tasted bad. Sour. Server was horrible. Oh and the crab cakes were cold inside. Calamari was the only good thing.

Food was good. Husband got the lobster roll & loaded fries. He ate it...I didn't care for it. For me, too many flavors covering up the lobster. I had the NY strip with fries & veg. The steak was finished at the right temp, but 1 side was almost burnt. The pretzel was awesome.

We went there on a Friday night to see the band "The 1985". It was our 1st time there. The service was great, our server Jenni was outstanding! The food was awesome as well. It was a fun time for our girls night out. Would definitely recommend eating here. We will go back. (We were upstairs by the bar). Excellent view to see the band and everyone dancing.

Well, I can't give a good review because too many things were or went bad. The young lady who served us did everything she could to offset the management that was running the restaurant problems they were having. Our table wasn't the only one having very bad problems. I say problems because there were many that evening. Like I said the server kept apologizing but we felt it was no management problem.

Music was good. The possibly final time I eat here in the winds. The burger was not cooked as requested, which is tolerable, but its bad when a burger FEELS sandy.. chargrilled is one thing, over cooked outside, super raw inside is a specific ask, which was not mind. The bun grilled to a stone and "aloe" separated and looking curdled somehow is another. If I could upload that.. woof

We had a wonderful dinner at the Kankakee grill. Everything was so good. The filet mignon was cooked just right and the Brussels sprouts were amazing. Our waitress was great and really nice. Definitely will eat here again.

First time here.So the service all the way from the hostess to the server was great. The restaurant itself was super cool.I got the "Hurricane" drink and loved it- love that the menu had pictures of what alcohol was mixed into it.Now, the food...We got the jalapeno dip for an appetizer. I loved it, my husband did not. That was just different taste buds.However, he got the burger and truffle fries and was super disappointed in lack of flavor to the point he didn't finish it. And my husband is a MEAL FINISHER! Lol.I got the surf & turf and honestly my steak and lobster was super bland. Like they didn't put any seasoning or flavor at all on the lobster. Same with my vegetables (brussel sprouts). Mashed potatoes were good.Everything was cooked well, but everything seriously lacked flavor. I don't think we would come back again.I'm just glad the prices were mostly reasonable.

We had a very new server who was sat several tables in addition to our large party on a very slow evening. She needed additional help with our table. Drinks took a long time, 3 meals were not made with the rest of the group. Checks weren't accurate but were fixed. The food was exceptional and she was very apologetic. We know you were y see staffed due to the weather, but management could have stepped in to assure things went smoothly.
