Draught Horse Brewery & Spirits

I called and reserved space here for my rehearsal dinner for my wedding back on June 25th. Reservation was for August 21st. Process was super smooth - haven't had been here before but was excited for the atmosphere and food/ drinks based on the reviews. I had to update the time of time of the reservation, called this past Thursday July 17th and thank god I did. I was notified that my contact/manager I was working with was no longer with the business - as well as half the kitchen staff - and the woman I spoke with had to go confirm with the owners that they could honor this reservation. She said I would hear from the that night or the next day. This of course sends me into a tailspin searching for potentially a new restaurant (in which I did if anyone was curious). What motivates me to write this review without having been to the restaurant is the lack of care or ownership by management or ownership to even reach out when promised. Sunday July 20th and I haven't heard a word, nothing still Friday July 25th. This reservation would've bought 25-30 heads in for food and alcohol which would've added an easy $1,000 worth of sales. Not to mention having sent a bride into panic mode a month away from the reservation date. Have the balls to at least call people back when promised even if the answer is "no". What happened is an extreme case and I understand but I don't understand how not communicating to the patron is the way to go. But also this is a huge reservation that was set way before all Hell broke loose - which regardless of the situation should've been honored. I will never be coming here and I will not be recommending Draught Horse to anyone who asks.

Best kitchen in town by far

Today we had a beer and then ordered wings. The bar tender was quite nice and helpful. When the wings arrived they immediately seemed tough and presumably undercooked. We sent them back after we each had one. The host returned only a few minutes later and informed us that the wings were indeed cooked properly. Hmmm, well then they were just plain bad and about the worst wings we've ever had. Instead of doing the order over the 3 lousy wings were bought back accompanied by a lecture from the host. The beer is just OK. We left the 3 terrible wings behind and departed. What ever happened to customer service?

My friends and I LOVE this place. The beer is awesome and the food is next level. We try to go as often as possible, and I highly recommend trying the pulled pork.

The only thing better than the beer is the food, always fresh and delicious!

If you like good service, don't come here.
The waitresses aren't friendly and the atmosphere was not good.

Came in on a Saturday evening and literally could not get served. Sat down, had multiple servers walk right past without acknowledging me. I waited about 10 minutes as they scurried around very stone-faced and finally just left. Just a very unfriendly vibe. So different from a place I ate at the next day where I walked in and a server greeted me with a smile and wave and encouraged me to find my own seat. And then she had a menu on my table in less than a minute.

The food was great and worth the wait, however the service was terrible!!! The beer??? I wouldn’t know. Our server took our food order immediately when we sat down, told me to scan a QR code for the tap list and then never returned! Couldn’t even get a refill on water let alone a flight that I had already picked out. Very disappointing Mother’s Day. (Yes we made reservations in advance)

This was the busiest we have seen it and the service suffered a little. Still a cool place though.

Draught Horse has a dog-friendly patio that's open year-round, and wonderful, attentive staff! I always feel welcome when I come, and feel very comfortable bringing my pup with me.

Great food options are available here. All of the dishes we ordered tasted delicious. The place has a nice, cosy theme—a special mention to their on-tap beer options, which offer unique flavours.

I was warmly greeted as soon as I came in and the service was awesome throughout our 1.5 hour business lunch. The food was awesome as well. I had the pub burger. While it tasted good the barbecue mustard sauce was too much as it made my pretzel bun too soggy to pick up in my hands. It was still delicious even though I had to cut up my burger to eat it. I also loved the atmosphere. I’ll be back for sure!
