Food was excellent. Place seems like a hole in the wall bar (which it is) but felt homey and comfy too. Got the Ghost of Larson burger and it was good! Family of 4 with 2 small kids. Everything was hot and fresh and the staff was friendly and fun and more than kind with the kids! Such a random spot after leaving the Bear Ranch, we highly recommend stopping for a bite to eat! Only downfall was prices. Unsure if it’s because of location but family of 4 was $80...
This was honestly the best food my wife and I have had dining out in a very very long time!
Seriously. The food was over the top. The wagyu beef was phenomenal! As well as the perch! Everything we ate was perfect. It was a cute dainty little restaurant in nice town. The staff at this place was extremely kind!

Road tripping around the eastern U.P. brought us to Newberry for a late lunch at Timber Charlie’s. As tough as the restaurant business is anywhere, it’s got to be tougher in Newberry and these folks gave us a great meal experience. To of our party had the lake perch (which they graciously let me sample) and it was excellent and generously portioned. I had whitefish which was lightly and crisply battered. A+ on the batter and the fish was very fresh. Two sides...
