I visited this location for lunch with my friend. They closed the better location in New Hudson and I have never had a good experience here with the Novi location but I thought it’d be an affordable lunch spot and I’d give it another try. We chose to do the 2 for $25 but with the upgrades. We ordered hot honey glaze wings and they were great. As our pick 2 options we picked 2 6oz sirloins with loaded mashed potatoes and broccoli. We ordered our steaks medium rare they came out well done. I understand that you are NOT a steakhouse and as a restaurant manager of 9 years with 16 years in total experience at restaurants ALONE, I don’t expect perfection but well done is something I won’t do so I sent them back to please have what I ordered. My friend had cut the middle out of her steak to make sure not just the end was over done. She was attempting to eat the grey tasteless meat, when I was like no, I can’t. So we sent them back. Waitress was so polite and so accommodating and had them started. The manager came out and explained that because my friend had “eaten” almost all of her steak I would have to pay for a new steak. (it was a 6 OZ sirloin that she had cut in the middle) Her piece was a small fat piece of sirloin, mine was large and flat like hamburger or they used a steak weight to crush it. I said well then give us the pieces of garbage back, he said they had already been disposed of and said he was cooking the steaks personally. Then walked away leaving me literally in awe. The unprofessionalism of someone in management. I have managed different concepts and different AOR (I was a kitchen manager and currently I am a dining room manager) and never in my life have I ever been treated this way by a manager! Or have I ever dreamed of treating a patron that way! For a restaurant that is closing buildings, it’s insane that you wouldn’t train your management to treat the few guests you get better. I’m a very easy person to please, long ticket time, oh well, slower service, ok just make sure I have my drink filled. I will always tip because I fed my family this way for 16 years but the audacity of this manager. No “I’m sorry we messed up”, literally accuses us of just wanting free food. Well I paid my bill and left and I don’t want anything from you but better training for your managers. That’s INSANE! I also am going to steal your server because her talents and politeness is wasted in this building. Have the day you deserve!

Our server Miranda took an order outside. She noticed a water bottle on the grass & picked it up, She could have left it for the landscapers to pick up but on this very chilly day she took the time. Miranda was pleasant and wish more employees were like her.
If I could leave a negative review I would. I had to create a google account just to post this so if you think I was too caught up in my emotions then you would be wrong. After 10 minutes of waiting to put in our drink orders in and another 10 mins of waiting for the drinks to actually come, my corona was given a lime that was to big to even put into the bottle and was basically like a cork stopper. One thing I would just like to add was that they somehow didn’t notice an elderly couple waiting for 20 mins to get sat even though there were 6+ open booths and 3 booths that took them until we left to finally clean off. Then it took 30 minutes until we put our food orders in and another 30 minutes until we got our food. You might think “oh it was probably busy?” Nope wasn’t that busy. The manager came by and apologized saying “sorry it’s taking so long we ran out of onions”. So does every other restaurant out there that’s when you 86 and communicate better with your employees and move on!!! Also once I finally got my burger it was extremely dry and the buns were extremely soggy from the tomatoes and guess what it also had onions… which they said they ran out so that sorry excuse the manager told us was probably just a sorry attempt for covering up that it sat underneath a heat lamp for thirty minutes. I felt terribly bad because once I finally got my food more and more people came in and I tried warning them about how terrible the service was but was unable too. I would say it was a 99% bad experience, the remaining 1% of a good experience is for the 1 creed song they played and that was it.

This place sucks. Waited 45 minutes just for them to come and tell us that they don’t have all the ingredients to make the food. Spent $30 for trash that was cold and soggy. It tasted microwaved. Don’t waste your money here.

I'm bit surprised this restaurant is rated lower than Outback next door. The food here was hot, tables were clean, there was a room for improvement with the state of the toilets, but at least there were indicators of cleaning effort.
