When I arrived with my friend, the doors entering the restaurant were grimy and filthy. It looked like they hadn't been cleaned in some time. Not a good first impression. I had a birthday coupon that stated if I purchased a dinner meal then the coupon could be used toward a 2nd meal. I had never been to an experience like this before so I was excited. We were the only ones in the restaurant aside from one couple. The greeters said that they would get our table ready (even though we had reservations) so I used the restroom. Again, filthy. Very little toilet paper left in the stalls and toilet seat covers empty. Mind you, they hadn't been open for very long that morning. We were taken to a back room and seated at a table. I noted food drippings on some of the plates at the table. I told the staff about my coupon and they insisted that it could only be used during dinner hours. Given the sketchiness of the cleanliness, the refusal to honor the coupon and wondering what the kitchen looked like if the rest of the restaurant looked the way it did, my friend and I left. We did not eat there.
Our waitress, Meca was knowledgeable, prompt and inviting. She was the best server we ever had. Our chef was Jack and he was very nice and our food was cooked well. The only thing that does not keep me from frequenting this restaurant more often is the prices. There are too many cheaper japanese teppanyaki-style resraurants for Benihana to charge as much as they do.
Manager serving as the host is very rude, the restaurant was unclean. Liter and food debris were all over the floor. The staff needs retraining on proper food safety handling to prevent cross contamination. A member of the table specified no egg for reasons unknown, however the cook added egg to the rice and then tried to seperate the rice mixture to accommodate the guest. The same utensils were used to handle chicken, lobster, shrimp and steak cleaning only after cutting the chicken with the same towel that was used to clean the grill. As I was speaking with a manager, a staff member put clean dishes including napkins on two of the dirty hibachi grill tables looking aroundthis was the norm. I did report this to one of the floor manager who did nothing to correct the issues. He stated that he would let the manager know. Thus is a restaurant I understand that they have a high turnover cleanliness and customer service are both non-negotiables.
Booking a reservation does not matter. Our reservation was for 7pm we were sat at 8pm. The steak wasn't the greatest for the cost.
I hadn’t been to BH in a while so imagine my joy when a 10-person corporate dinner I was attending decided to pick it as a venue. Unfortunately, this turned sour almost immediately.
To preface, the reservation DID state that they wouldn’t seat our party until everyone arrived. It’s a policy and we understand that.
However, here’s where it went off the rails. We asked if it was possible to sit the 9 of us who were there, waiting for the 10th who was in traffic. We were, in my opinion, bluntly refused stating that they “couldn’t hold the chef up waiting”. When we noted we weren’t looking to hold up a chef and just simply sit (mind you, it was a Thursday afternoon and the restaurant maybe had 5 people in it in total), we were still told to stand around and wait.
Once our 10th showed up, we agreed the atmosphere was tense and decided to take our business elsewhere. As we left, the hostess and staff (3 of them) mocked, and actually laughed at us. The direct quote that comes to mind was “Byeeee don’t let the door hit you on the way out”. I’ll admit, this is where we got heated and started getting snarky back because…who does that? I wish I was kidding but it was about as far away from professional as you can get; from both sides frankly (I own my piece of that).
Look, I get that it’s a policy, and we all understand why it’s there, even when we explained that we weren’t asking for anything more than seat in an empty restaurant. That doesn’t make it a good policy and it’s a policy that lost several customers to Shogun or any other Teppanyaki. I don’t know about you, but if a policy is actually detrimental to both your business and your customers, maybe a modicum of flexibility could be considered.
As for the hosting staff… zoomers are gonna zoom. I remember my first job, so as shitty as their behavior was, it’s the policy that stands out to me as the real culprit here. Do better guys.

We had a reservation and were seated on time but had to wait 50 mins before the chef arrived at the station. I had to go ask to expedite. The service was mediocre, the server had no interest in serving. The chef was decent although the chicken was overcooked, he didn't have enough chicken for one of us and had go get it again.
Overall very very disappointing experience after spending $200 (before tips)
Will not go again, at least to this location.
This is the worst experience I've ever had,we waited over an hour to chef to came to table because waiter kept saying kitchen backed up or he take our order late but other table so after us getting their food, our orders was wrong, we get charged stuff we didn't order,I'm definitely not going there
First the place is dirty.
Service was SLOW!!!
Food is rationed.
Rice had zero flavor.
WAY to much oil and butter on food, was like oil slick in plate.
$365 for 5 people is WAY OUT OF LINE..
5 meals 2 apps and water to drink..
NEVER AGAIN

I had a reservation and still had to wait over 45 minutes to be seated. I went there to join my fellow veterans and to try to enjoy a meal. Usually, the service and food is good. However, that wasn't my experience this time. I finally got my food and it was not even warm at all and the rice was barely warm enough to melt the garlic butter that I ordered. Even though things were bad, I still left a tip for the waiter.
My family and I had a wonderful time. The chef mohamad, did a very good job . The next time we plan on asking for him to cook for us again. You were great mohamad.

Meca is amazing. I love her energy. I don't remember my chef's name, Bala or Lamda, I'm sorry, I don't remember. But the food was great. Possibly the best meal I've had at Benihana, ever. I wasn't really sure of how to get my meal on my Friends With Benefits account. That's the only downside. Other than that, I will be back next week.
Absolutely terrible we were eating and ceiling was leaking water we had a hole in ceiling dripping in my water and paid )192 for nothing waisted money never going back
The bartender on 10/18 was very friendly, inviting and made my drink very well. Taste really good. The food was good but the waitress/server wasn't very friendly, seemed like she was fed up for the day. Our table had to ask for refills or other staff would bring it. The chef/cook did really good job and one of the guest at the table with me turned me on to spicy fried rice and I'll definitely be trying that my next visit. It was GREAT. I love spicy foods. Overall experience was really good.
For the price we paid, food portions were way too small. Lower prices or give bigger portions. Always order the same thing and it was significantly smaller this time.
This is by far an amazing experience! The service is always fantastic and good vibes. The food is always phenomenal! My husband and I love coming here!! If you're looking for a date night, birthday celebration, or anniversary dinner, totally make a reservation and head to an open table at benihanas.
