The woman at the front was very quick to take our order and payment. You could see the sushi chef working behind the counter as you wait, which wasn’t long it only took about 4-5 minutes for our order to be ready. We received it and it was warm from being freshly prepared, it smelled amazing on the ride home. Had the spicy cali roll and the novi rolls (16 pieces in total) and it was gone within 10 minutes of being inside our house. SO GOOD. We will definitely be back to try the Ramen and getting more sushi for sure.

First time ordering from Happy Sushi! I was pleased to say the least. I did an online order, it was faster than anticipated. The presentation was great and tasted delicious. I ordered the Philadelphia roll, Royal oak roll, lion king and seafood combo roll.

We were honestly disappointed. The beef teriyaki was like jerky. The sushi was warmer and fishier smelling than should be and the sashimi was very thick and chewy. We also felt rushed the entire time. Our total was a little over $100.00 and I went home and had to make something to eat because the beef teriyaki and rolls were so disappointing.

Upon arrival I took a look at the presented menu. Ordered a lo mein with California roll. Menu said $12.50. I get the receipt it’s $16.96. I asked how did it change if the menu reflected a different price. She said it was old price but $16.96 is in the computer. Why would they keep an old menu out is frustrating. The ramein didn’t have any flavor what so ever, the only thing that was decent was the California rolls. Service was ok but called back for questions and couldn’t gain understanding. Disappointed. $17 waste

Walked in, seated ourselves, staff saw us and continued to eat and play on their phones, got up and got our menu, got up handed by it to the waitress, food was mediocre for the price we paid. Would not recommend.

Questionable chicken. I took one bite and I thought... that wasn't chicken... But guaranteed the sushi is fabulous. And the service was spectacular ? they will also make agedashi dofu off the menu ❤️

Happy Sushi has been my regular Sushi restaurant for many years. I have always just liked it better than other nearby restaurants. The sushi always tastes fresh and delicious. The staff are very nice. It is a peaceful place to dine in. I recommend it very highly. There are some “fancier” nearby sushi restaurants but the sushi is inferior at most of them. This is definitely my sushi spot in Novi.Vegetarian options: There are many vegetarian options but they aren’t denoted specifically. You just have to pick k and choose rolls.Kid-friendliness: Always welcoming of kids. Not many kid specific foods but if they will eat rice or sushi or Asian food, there are options. We’ve always brought our son since he was a baby and have brought other kids in the past.
