Joe Kool's Novi Bar & Grill

Mac-n-cheese was extremely dry. I ordered it with crispy chicken. When the server brought it to my table, no chicken. She said the chicken was coming. After I ate 3/4 of the mac-n-cheese, she brought the chicken, which was grilled and not the crispy. I talked to the manager and he said he would take it off my bill. He then brought me a complimentary glass of Chardonnay, which was very nice of him. When my bill came, I was charged for the chicken. Our server talked to him and he did take it off. I was with 4 other people and they said their dinners were not good either.

The wings are big and meaty and the service was Great, we sat at the bar. I like the atmosphere there as well. ☺️

place is very nice and spacious and plenty of TV's. the baked french onion was very salty but the southern fried chicken salad was delicious. our server was very attentive.

Poorly managed, it took a while to be recognized by anyone working while standing at the host stand. We get sat and no one comes to the table. We were waiting at least 15 minutes, then we left. I would've been more understanding if it was actually busy

I go out alot. All over the country. This is one of the best places I've ever eaten at.

Not good service 2 waiters walked by us serving everyone else but us will not be coming back we walked out sat there for 15 min got nothing

It was a decent visit. Food is reasonably priced. My sandwich and sweet potato fries were good. I'd say food and everything is about average. I'd eat there again.

Our server recommended the nachos which were delicious! Service was great and there is no short of entertainment with the amount of televisions

I put in a previous 5 star review to make the star points go up while I was working there. & to this the man that fired me responded to a review I made months ago without realizing it was me, your ai edited responses aren’t giving. Management undervalues staff and only cares about boosting their own pockets. Everything you order here comes from gfs and you can get at generally any restaurant. These managers are also making their servers pay for any walk out tab against, which is against federal law, not to mention changing hours to reflect pay.
Needless to say, they’ll hire anybody, service is a coin toss, food is mediocre, and management needs severe help.

I’m so glad I decided to give this place another chance. My initial experience about six months ago was less than stellar—both the service and food left much to be desired, and the overall vibe felt a bit underwhelming. However, my recent visit with my partner completely changed my perspective.
From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by Joe, one of the owners, who made an excellent first impression. Dressed impeccably, he personally escorted us to our table, setting the tone for what turned out to be an exceptional experience. Our server was attentive, friendly, and provided top-notch service throughout the meal.
The food was absolutely outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. The atmosphere was equally impressive, with TVs throughout the space showing the Tigers game, which added to the lively yet relaxed environment. As an added bonus, the owner is clearly passionate about sports, and he took the time to engage in a conversation with my partner and me about local teams and events, which was a nice touch.
Overall, I’m thoroughly impressed with how much this place has improved, and I’ll definitely be returning in the future. We’re especially looking forward to enjoying the Lions game on Sunday night!

OMGGGGG , came here w my girl for a meet up and it was GREATT!!! Kailyn was our server she’s a sweetheart! Also had time to chat with the owner Joe , such amazing hospitality!! Food was splendid they have great tartar sauce!!! Overall 10/10 we will be back next month with a few friends as well! Keep it up guysss!!!

Food was excellent, everyone was very friendly. Got seated right away on a Saturday night. Restaurant and bathrooms were very clean which I feel is worth mentioning.

Food is good, above average for a sports bar. Service is fine and TVs all around with good viewing. Sound is unbearable. If you’re going for a big game be prepared. It’s a loud echo chamber that desperately needs some sound baffles and better speakers. Hard to deal with for more than 30-60minutes. Wouldn’t take much to improve it but i suspect they won’t unless pushed by their customers.
